They were so  he left AEW that they were making up rumors about cheating/marriage issues/pending divorce :dead: funny timing THAT’S also when they started to claim Punk was trying to hook up with Britt Baker during his Dub run

Its just scorn ex mentality. Punk hooking up with AEW should have been the perfect unison but the reality is AEW was still a young company with too much leeway to both sides and no authority squash

Now we gotta endure weirdos doing thinkpieces on of a wrestler is a rebel and being in their feelings for him

Eh, I think it's pretty obvious. Punk sold the image of him being "the different one" from every other wrestler you liked/was successful. He rode that image for almost 20 years. He admittedly is a shyt stirrer and likes to talk shyt. You combine that with that moral high ground stuff he loved the talk about and it should not be a that difficult to figure out why people go at him when he shows himself as just another wrestler who was carnying fans to make him money :pachaha: a lot of fans take shyt personally, and specially the type of fan that Punk cultivated for almost two decades. It's obvious a number of them will act like scorned girlfriends when shyt doesn't go the way they envisioned.

And on the other hand, you have people like most of TSC were making fun of Punk is so easy these days that's it's impossible not to take some jokes in when the time arises :pachaha:

I think he was genuine about wanting WWE to change obviously to his personal needs but he left the business for 7 years and came back to unfamiliar territory and a new company with some power but no use for it

That probably made him realize a few things

He’s lucky though he’s kinda fallen into a top guy position again which speaks to something he had that makes people feel some of type of way

I was fukking with Punk since his Indy days in IWA-MS. Him being straight edge and talking like a real dude made me fan since I was straight edge at the time. As I got older and started hanging with real dudes I saw what it was to be that.

After seeing he was just using it as an image to carny and showing he’s just a fake hypocrite it didn’t sit well with me. Being authentic isn’t supposed to be treated like a gimmick. I respect what he did in the ring, but fukk the two face. :russell:

The weirdest part of this is WWE was more like a renegade outlaw promotion back then when he was there compared to after the TKO merger. Based on everything he has said and done since leaving in 2013, he should hate all of this.

Truthfully, he probably does. But its his last chance at a bag. Couldnt make it in Hollywood. Literally beaten out of the UFC. Too petty to be the bigger man with Luke Perry's son so he got fired from his safety net job. He has to be ok with what WWE does because AJ wouldnt let him play Warzone on the couch all day anymore.

Punk doesnt care how he comes off to anyone, he never has. He became a star because of that fact. He works for a very MAGA company because he is making money. A LOT of people do this sort of thing. It is what it is. Still not watching though

He’s probably more comfortable with TKO as he got along with UFCs office despite failing there than either wrestling company

They’re kinda MAGA adjace cause while everyone makes them out to be Republican cause of Dana and Hunter, Ari Emmanuel who’s their boss is democrat (but like in that Blue MAGA kinda lol ) Even all the stuff with Saudi if you know his history he’s probably not against people deciding not to go ( assuming if he is or isn’t.)

But the weird thing is everyone is saying this is his last chance and he has to fall in line …but we’re also hearing he’s got control on things, he can presumably run NXT after Shawn (which wtf lol why are they just saying that) he doesn’t need to do the Saudi shows it seems and he’s even switched up plans by his choice (Seth match Netflix was supposed to happen at Mania)

So I don’t know, I think the injury was the best thing to happen cause it allowed to act like he’s chilled and when he came back ge got some control ( at least from the reports )

Watch back this promo from Hangman, which is what supposedly set off Punk. Everything Hangman said was true :mjlol:
