The Buss family have sold Majority ownership (48%) of the Lakers for $4.8 Billion, Franchise valued at $10 Billion. Family still owns 18% stake.

Sure. Previous ownership might have balked at being in the tax might be more palatable to new ownership group.

Fewer broke owners I think is probably better for the league.
Completely agree with this. Most teams will avoid the second apron not due to tax implications but the restrictions that it puts on roster flexibility.

Yo what’s the ceiling for these teams?

This instantly runs up the asking price for a so many teams.

Wonder what the bum ass cowboys or Knicks are valued at now.

Edit; when it’s all said and done, we gon have to look at Magic as one or the best monopoly in players ever.

Gotta respect it

CBA was put together based on fear from broke owners about how the richer owners were moving. I think if the scales start to tilt more towards the rich owners might have a less punitive CBA. But maybe that's wishful thinking.

I think Silver is happy with the way things have worked out. 7 different title winners in 7 years. The way it looks unless you have an extremely unique situation you will only be able to keep a championship caliber team together for 2-3ish years while having the appropriate depth parts to compete

Cowboys probably sell for more. Knicks probably sell for less.

Idk breh, the one thing that opened my eyes was going abroad to Europe. It’s so much Knicks, Yankees, and Cowboys shyt that people who don’t even follow the sports wear.

You don’t really see Lakers shyt as much.

I had just assumed Lakers were more valuable than Knicks but I guess that's not the case. Idk how much of Knicks valuation is based on owning msg and the tv networks (which maybe aren't as valuable anymore).
