True... it just a nice wavy feel to it... I find myself cruising the city and jamming to it...the album has a light airy vibe...part introspective..part having fun....part head nodding...just a fly vibe...
I'm getting pretry much the same vibe. Got this on while I'm reading. It's nothing so loud and agressive that it takes me out of my book. It's just chill as fukk.

What I said in the "On The Run II" announcement thread:

Joint Album Incoming. This will be Jay's 5th Collbo LP after Both R. Kelly joints, Ye's Watch the Throne and the Linkin Park mashup. Bey already toured off "Lemonade" and Jay just came off the "4:44" tour. So this is the "Reconciliation" tour. One could argue the whole "Relationship Marriage Drama" thing has been marketing, lol. They've got an EP's worth of Hot Collaborations so it only makes sense to do a joint album. Clearly they are setting up the LP to drop either before the tour or right after which would be around Beyonce's Birthday in September. Something is telling me it's dropping this summer. They've been teasing it since Last Year with those Khalid tracks. It makes business sense now they can bring the whole family while they tour.

So I'm not surprised. Now Dropping on the same weekend as Esco? That was definitely a surprise. What was crazy, I was riding around with a friend and we were listening to "NaSIR" in the car on Tidal, then an email pops on his phone and "Everything is Love" dropped. We were like WTF? Anyways, so I played it straight through and I thought it was straight. Felt like "Best of Both Worlds III" honestly as Jay had 2 LP's with R. Kelly and "King and I" last year with Faith and Biggie as kind of a R&B/Hip Hop Hybrid LP. This is definitely more of a Beyonce LP than a Jay LP to me though. He sort of let her take the lead on this project to me. Hov was very sharp on this though. His flow was crazy and much more aggressive. He was listening to all ya'll talk mess about his slow and mellow flow on "4:44" so he had to remind ya'll. I liked the first single "Apesh!t" because it's a metaphor clearly for all these Monkey and Ape comparisons to Black People (Roseanne, H&M Monkey shirt etc). Yes it's basically a Migos featuring Jay track, lol since they clearly worked on the adlibs and Beyonce's verses. But I think Bey sounded good though I'm not a huge fan of autotune. Jay was sending mad subliminals on this album and hit a lot of people. "Friends" was pretty deep and answered a lot of questions about Jay's inner circle.

Yes there were Ye subliminals but like "4:44" they were light. Drake got it pretty bad though on "Boss". "713" was pretty dope with the "Still Dre" nod (Of course Hov Wrote that so, no foul here, lol). Of course let Bey rep 713 her hometown though he has used "718" area code in many of his rhymes. Pharrell did good on both his beats including "Nice". "Love Happy" ended the album pretty good and "Sulude" was nice bonus as well. I though the production was solid but again most of these beats were more for Beyonce to me. There were some I could see end up on a Jay album per say. There were clearly going for a certain type of sound, Yes those "Trap" styled drums were used on a few tracks. Again this was a compilation album between two of the Biggest Stars in the game. That's why I said you pretty much have to compare this to the R. Kelly projects or that Faith project last year. Thematically it ties the other two albums together to ends this little "Marriage Saga", lol. It's the end of the Trilogy of the albums. Now my only beef is they knew they could of waited till this weekend to drop the album. I know NaS played it cool but come on now. He hasn't dropped in 6 years. Jay dropped last year and Bey dropped 2 years ago, smh. NaS should of had last weekend to himself. Just my opinion and they should of had this weekend to themselves. Jay did this during "STILLmatic" too when he dropped his "Blueprint Unplugged" Live Album the same day. When I really looked at it, NaS and Jay have released near each other a several times:

96: RD- June I.W.W. - July
99: NaStradamus - Nov Vol 3 - Dec
00: Dynasty - Oct QB's Finest - Nov
01: STILLmatic - Dec Blueprint Unplugged Dec (Same Day)
02: Blueprint 2 - Nov God's Son - Dec
04: Unfinished Business - Oct Streets Disciple - Nov
06: Kingdom Come - Nov Hip Hop is dead - Dec
18: Nasir - Jun Everything is Love - Jun (One Day)

Regardless of the timing though I'm happy since I'm a Day 1 of Jay, NaS and even Beyonce fan to see them all have come this far. I'm all for quality projects dropping plus it's not really new for two major Hip Hop acts to drop the same weekend. Its happen a lot in Hip Hop History. I mean "Hard Knock Life" and "Aquemini" Dropped on the same day. Same as "Dynasty" and "Stankonia" (Outkast lost to Jay both times). Anyways, pretty good project. So in the end, Jay, Bey, NaS, KanYe and Cudi will have 4 albums in the Top 10 LP's next week. Crazy.

Just left the hookah bar tonight.....called the Uber....threw on the ear buds... and was just bumping Friends and Summer...and well it gets better with each listen.....its like you said...its chill as fukk...just a great soundtrack to your flow....whatever you got going on....

also something I noticed.... the levels...the volume...the sound itself is masterful....they had top sound engineers on this..the levels on this album are excellent...I have bumped this in the ride...on my air pods...and on bluetooth and the album sounds good on anything I play it on

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Is there a Jay-only version of this?

I'm not trying to listen to Beyonce sound like a bootleg member of the Migos for a whole album :picard:
It's just one song....

I woke up this morning with Beyonce on my mind..

"fukk you. fukk youuu.
You're cool.
fukk youuuuuuuuuu!"

I like everything but NICE

BLACK EFFECT, BOSS & HEARD ABOUT US especially >>>>>>>>>
Aww I like Nice. Lol. It’s one of my favorites on the album along with the other 3 you’ve mentioned. Summer is great too. 713 is my least played song on the album tbh.. even though I like it.
