Sure white people were always the biggest consumers of hiphop but it seems like rappers are being directly targeted to that white audience. If you look at Thrift Store by Macklemore its clear that was a song made for white hipsters. Can't be mad at the industry tho. They tryna appeal to the audience that actually BUYS their music.

And you don't really don't need to be that good to build up an audience. V-Nasty, Kreyshawn, Chanel. Their whole popularity comes from them being white females. Not their skills. I always said that once rap no longer became a form of rebellion that the Whites will take it over. The moment that rap commercially became all materialistic and vain was the moment it no longer rebelled the system. nikkas today sound like Republicans on the radio. The thing that appealed to "Lil Eric" living in the suburbs was the ghetto experience. That's the shyt that became the whites in the suburbs initial attraction to the culture. The moment that every radio song became devoted to materialism and women is when it opened the floodgates for the whites to get in the game and reproduce. As long was we was on our N.W.A, 2PAC, Ruff Ryders, G-Unit shyt we could keep them at bay because they couldn't replicate that. But the shyt that's on the radio now can be replicated by an Asian kid from Canada. I blame nikkas for that.

@ G-Unit. They had the biggest wigger base out of any street movement. You have to thank Eminem for being so far ahead in skill, that the white rappers after him can never measure up. In fact, Eminem is the biggest curse for up-and-coming white rappers looking for long term fame cause they will fail, according to the white audience. Thanks to that, black faces can still be seen at a large percentage of rapping and production nearly 40 years after this artform's birth. You can't fake the funk in Hip Hop music, cause people will see right past it.

It ain't like Rock music that was taken away from black folks after only 10 years after it was created by Chuck Berry, who never grew an emotional attachment from it. Rap in every form was set, and dominated, by black folks and still is.
