this just proves it needs to be 8. can't dismiss teams and use bullshyt "expert" opinions to pick 4 teams. each P5 champ and the G5 champ plus 2 at larges. that's the only fair way to do it. the committee didn't even want to rank a G5 team until the last week and boise proved they belong. TCU could just as easily be playing in the championship game if the experts on the committee decided they were better than ohio state.

2 at large, boise won their conference. and 2 because it's an 8 team playoff. 6 doesn't make sense because you would be giving the top 2 seeds a bye. this isn't the pros where everyone pretty much plays the same schedule and teams earn their byes. this year proved that bama wouldn't have been more worthy of a bye than ohio state. college football is too subjective with the rankings to be giving teams advantages based on those rankings.
