Need more seeds and it will happen so no point in belly-aching about it.

One thing that's for certain. The playoff is much better than the old system.

I like it, but this has to be it. no expansion

these are amateurs and you cant expect them to play an NFL like schedule. the Big 12 has themselves to blame for not being in, the format worked

Sec
Big 12
Big ten
PAC 12
Acc

3 at large
Non power 5 if they finish in the top 12 can get one of the at large

:russ: but as the breh said earlier what about the student part of college athletics...they need time to study...otherwise they may as well cut 1-2 games off of the season and got with a 16 team playoff...

Damn near every team plays a scrub at least once even the scrubs.

I see a lot of people in here championing the "student" excuse for not expanding the playoffs dont realize that FCS schools have a 24 team playoff. And these are kids that actually have to take their academics seriously. The FCS champion has to play 15 games in order to win that title. Going to an 8 team playoff at the highest level would put them at 15 games a season as well.

FCS schools have a 24 team playoff and their players actually study :skip:. 8 teams will be fine.

:russ: exactly so there is no reason why the playoffs cant be expanded....Thats usually the primary excuse people use....Maybe they should ask the actual players...Im sure they don't mind.

Hell no you need a disclaimer the mac doesn't deserve a spot.

See I've been a fan of saying it should just be a playoff of all conference champions. Obviously there's a sec bias, and everybody seems to think the sec is the most dominant shyt ever... This week has shown that's not exactly the case.

If the mac champion lined up and played all the games on their schedule, and got into a playoff and beat say, osu, bama and Oregon how could we say they don't deserve to be champions? Hell everyone felt osu didn't "deserve" to be in and we see how that turned out. Granted the mac champion would probably get destroyed most years, but I'm sure there will be some wild upsets.

Putting the conference champs in makes the conference championship more orestigious, and rewards schools for winning. Plus it takes the voting crap out and makes it all about who won on the field... Not who "looks like" the best team

Nothing against the MAC and some of the other low-mid level conferences but unless they turn up big time they just don't have the talent.

Dudes still drinking the kool aid bruh:mjlol:.

Last night proves that it needs to be at least 6 teams. BAMA and FL State were overrated in the polls/rankings.:mjcry:

FSU definitely belonged. If you analyzed the bowl participants, Notre Dame, Clemson, and Georgia tech all were impressive in their victories. All were beaten by FSU. Throw in Miami, Fla, Florida, Maryland, Duke, North Carolina, and at the end, FSU played a quality schedule. TCU, while very impressive, cannot escape the Baylor loss, so on that premise, was more deserving than TCU. Cant say that much for BAMA and the quality of their wins but for arguments sakes perhaps they shouldnt have been ranked #1.
