8-team playoff would be fukking awesome. If CFB could replicate the same insanity that exists in D1 college basketball with underdogs going on miracle runs it would make it a lot more interesting.

its not painfully obvious to me at all. i dont see 8 teams this year that deserve to play for the national championship.
it all boils down to this. are we evaluating who has been the best college football team over the season? or are we asking ourselves who would win a 4 team tournament?
i think college football has been, and should be, the team that has played the best over the course of the season. generally, it should always be undefeated or one loss teams. i wouldnt be interested in seeing a couple of 2 loss teams playing for the national championship.
if they beat your favored one loss and undefeated teams then those couple of 2 loss teams would be deserving.

So, do you dislike the NFL Playoffs format?
I wouldnt say I dislike it. I dont agree with a playoff format that regularly has teams below .500 competing in the playoffs, though.

Eight teams is too many. Six is enough. No conference should get an auto berth. Record should get you a chance to get a bye. Let four teams battle it out for the scraps in wild card weekend. Then divisional round where 1 meets winner of 3 vs 6 and 2 meets winner of 3 v 5. Then Championship game to determine the winner. There should be a reward for having a good record in the regular season other than just seeding. Also with six teams there will be one or two 2 loss teams in there most years. With eight teams and five auto qualifiers+ three at large slots you might get some 3 loss team in while some one loss team is out. That would be BS.
what did alabama do this season to prove that they were worthy of a bye and ohio state wasn't?
How would it have been Alabama vs. FSU? Wasn't Oregon the 2-seed? Wouldn't it have been Alabama vs. Oregon?

Some dude posted on twitter a simulated BCS rankings for this year. It had ALA and FSU as #1 and #2 respectively.
Every conference should have a spot then 3 at large
needs to expand it to more than 4 teams. A computer making picks will never be better than a true playoff system. All they gotta do is figure out how to make certain games bowl games like they did with the sugar and rose bowls and they'd be set.
