This is what happens when you do business in that gray area. If you don't have an agreement in writing, then you are essentially gambling on whether or not the owner is going to do right by you.

All that good faith shyt and years of whatever you built doesn't matter for some folks. That's how it is when you don't have your shyt together.

They have agreements in writing. They're all under contract which is why Joe was saying they can't start a podcast for a year...I guess there's a non compete agreement. Joe also mentioned the contract on the episode when they came back.

"hippocrips" :laff:

Joe fumbled a 8 figure Spotify bag for nothing, clown

We were called pocket watchers for challenging the business genius of Joe Budden :mjlol:

The podcast market already peaked and he turned down a 8 figure deal over some "ownership" bullshyt.

I forgot the crazy number he wanted AND total freedom.

I never really went in on the fact of the white boys were a drag on the culture of the show. It's wild how the white boy feels entitled to ownership despite Joe always talking about how whites steal and monetize our shyt in his presence. The whole damn time this is what the white Devil was planning to do on his dog pad right next to Joe's throne. Lol I knew that the white boy was not content under a nikka.
Y u nikkas always gotta make shyt black vs white?

So essentially the issue is, they wanted equity in the company/podcast and didn't know how to go about getting it?

Rory's issue is that. He wants ownership and to audit and see the money flow and books. Mal doesn't seem to care for any of that it's mainly a respect thing which is why I think Joe didn't (or hasn't yet) fired Mal.

If you side with Joe in this. You're a fukking loser :mjlol:
It's just the people that want to pretend that they're "bosses". It's the same shyt as Dame worship. The entire house is on fire but they want to pretend that everything is fine because they run it.
And pod already peaked. That's why people questioned why he DIDN'T TAKE THE SPOTIFY deal (which he himself confirmed he asked for 100M), because the idea of a network doesn't fukking work. Especially when all you have planned is a show with three thots talking about LSA topics, when your show does the same thing. And to reiterate, the pod already peaked. Ice and Ish aren't restoring anything. All the memorable moments of the podcast came with Mal, Rory and Joe. They're all a reason for the success.
nikkas want to say that Rory and Mal were lazy, but so was Joe. He doesn't want to argue anything other than the usual topics and then he gets mad when people disagree. He's the one that really started killing the pod when he went on those hour-long "MY CREATORSSSS" rants for like six months. Realistically, they probably should've ended after the Spotify deal died, because you could tell that the other two stopped giving a shyt and Joe was ready to self-destruct.

I'm still listening to the full episode so haven't gotten to the part where he's fired anyone but in the clip I saw he only specifically fired Rory. And so far in my listening he's talking about how he only met Rory in 2014 and how his relationship with Mal is much different. Mal lived with him and he says he loves him and all that. Seems like most of his angst is to Rory and Mal is just a bit of collateral because he's somewhat siding with Rory. Actually it seems Mal wanted to audit too.

Music artists get publishing because their songs keep getting played over and over. Who is going to keep listening to old episodes of podcasts that are about weekly events?
point is there's an avenue to get publishing...the amount of replay is irrelevant i believe. maybe i'm wrong.
