The market will adjust itself. When Nvidia put out the RTX 4080 it didn't sell like they wanted so the 4080 Super came out at a reduced price Some people will be left behind as the prices go up but that's inevitable..

It’s hard to talk about things while we are in the middle of it but the market has already adjusted.

It’s why things like gamepass and series S exist.

It’s why playstation games are on PC and “cross gen” periods are so long

It’s why we have all these price increases.

Economics of first party/exclusive AAA games is about more than just selling the game. They are also pushing the console and everything else they sell with it. Be it PS+/GP subs, console sales, etc.

No. My post is was about about how these games are reviewed/received period

The game is obviously an “industry darling” and reviews reflect that.

Not to say the at the game isn’t “good” but there’s some obvious industry forces in play that have contributed to its critical and therefore commercial success.

Sonys games are not exclusive and they are not selling enough hardware/software to justify exclusive games.
