That was the first USA/Mexico match I've seen in a long time where I thought the US clearly had more attacking talent. And with Tyler Adams and Yunus Musah they probably have a better midfield too.

Mexico only looked good on passing.

Their finishing and defending vs set pieces were :scust:

That team didn't look any different, demographics wise, than any team they put out over the last 20 years. :heh:

Not to nitpick too much, but the 2021 team had 3 more brothers starting than the 2017 or 2019 Gold Cup finals teams.

You follow the team as much as I do. I'm trying to sell the national team to some of the casual people on here who don't feel like the national team has any color.

I'm more happy about the youth movement. Would love to see old ass Tim Ream left off the team, but I know Greg felt he needed some veteran leadership.

:ld:

I'm gonna be honest with you. :ld:

In the US Soccer world, I consider damn near all these half-brehs born in the States the same as white because they come up damn near the same way.

Yeah it's trending in the right direction but it won't mean anything until you get in the inner cities in America.

Close how? They don't aim to be at that level. They will be fine with dominating North America. Several MLS clubs are actually building good academy systems and profiting from them.

That post was me responding to the OP, but I would think that league would be behooved by other countries/leagues acknowledging it with a certain level of respect.

I view the rising Atlanta fanbase for their squad, and, while they’re doing great, I still see the typical attendee as being someone who got put on via its sponsoring by other sport franchises or someone who’s just a fan of soccer period. I was thinking on what they could do to break into that vast market of indifferents, and maybe someone else telling you how good you got it would help :yeshrug:
