I don't know, breh..maybe I'm missing something but it seems to be a trend lately that's making less and less sense as time goes on. Why does she NEED the belt? She'll be over with the belt, she'll be over without the belt (probably even more so with people anticipating her getting a solo shot).....

The belt's just a prop and in some cases, it makes a difference in a storyline, but in this one, it doesn't because there isn't a big blood feud to make the stakes high enough for it to mean THAT much.

One of the greatest matches I've ever seen on Raw was that no. 1 contender's match between Punk & Cena to decide who'd get a shot at The Rock and it was so good because of how well their rivalry had been built up going into that match. Sasha doesn't need the belt right now. Let it breathe.

Just a prop, I agree. But it's a prop that would have meant a lot for her. The belt can still be used to "crown" people. And coming off her feud with Bayley, where she was being applauded as the best womens wrestler n the world, it would have been a great gesture to the fans that it's "safe" to get behind an undersized black girl as strongly as they were trying to. If she had been the one to end Nikki's reign, that would have been the strongest expression of where she stands and where they want to take her. They gave that moment to Charlotte for some reason.

It's all about timing, and while she will clearly continue to have great support, I think that they waited longer than necessary to pull the trigger. They let it get to a point where her and Becky were getting "boring" chants during one of those Raw matches.

Nevertheless...I can see the argument that waiting to crown her at WM was better (Because hell, those later fall/winter months seem to be the worst times for Divas anyways because they don't get any of the gimmick matches), and you're right that, an actual well-written feud > The title, but it's not like she got that either. I suppose it depends on whether you think a "mania moment" is worth waiting for. I would have preferred them just striking when the iron was at it's hottest. We'll see what happens after WM. If a Bayley call up is planned than maybe they just wanted Sasha's first Raw feud to be with her, if not, I'm thinking they just made another dumb mistake.

She *has* to win it at mania though. Not winning now would be downright ridiculous. Hoping that this weeks weird booking isn't suggesting that they think she's "protected" by pinning Charlotte on a random ass Smackdown.
