Even though the Lox only have two proper albums, they have been known nationally as a group longer than the Hot Boys...unless you're a hardcore NO rap/CMR fan, the Hot Boys are only even in the rap public conscouisness as a group from like '98-2001...Get It How You Live was regional and before CMR broke nationally and Let 'Em Burn came out after they broke up and wasn't really promoted...the Lox has been solid as a collective perceptionwise since Biggie was still alive all the way to today, even though they haven't put out a group album in over a decade...their dblock mixtape run and features on solo albums maintained the group's continuity

Yep. I was more into Turk than Wayne, but CMR had a whole " year 2000 is all about Wayne" campaign going. Turk was the odd man out alot due to the fact he was just not around most of the time. They replaced him in video versions of songs, he was missing from shows, they would do features without him sometimes. They even waited til everything was falling off to get his solo out there. But Turk admitted he wasn't as focused as the rest of them. Had that monkey on his back awful. Wayne was better than dude tho. I do think people underrate pre-carter Wayne. Dude stole the show on alotta songs back then.
One of my favorite pre-carter wayne verses :whew:

Like both but Lox easily. Hot Boys production is really what stood out. That's not to say they were wack but they never really shined in any particular area as a group. It was Mannie's beats, keep it 100.

i refuse to conform
hot boys easily for me they have better albums imo

nikkas be terrified from us 'cause they know how we play
Them nikkas hide from us or catch 3 from a K
I'm just a scrub, I can't scuff; I'm too light to fight
I'm lil' too thin to win so I ride at night
You're fake, respect, nikka
You're playin' with the wrong one
I'll break your neck, nikka
You're playin' with the wrong gun
I use K's to wet nikkas
I'm sprayin' the whole room
Better watch your back, nikka
Lil' one, that's a wrap
March nikka step up when I.. I bust a cap
nikkas drop like (whistle) splat
Keep jokin' here, and I'm gon' show you what I'm 'bout
Respect my mind or get your brains knocked out

I was young when the hotboyz were out, so me and lil team used to have the Reeboks, Girbauds, and Bandannas running round... for like a year we ain't even play games, we played "The Hotboys".....I was the B.G. (said like he would as I typed it) cause I loved Chopper City, then I got muscles and I was :birdman:
lol:deadmanny: just thinkin about it, but even with that bias...LOX all day.

Fun facts: 2 members of the Hot Boy$ led two different dynastys.
3 members of the lox were apart of 2 dynastys, both of which they performed horribly in.
