Not a college fan, but I remember hearing that all the people involved in the scandal ain't there anymore. Not really sure what purpose is served by punishing people for what others did.

I think that's a tad apples to oranges. The responsibility to do the right thing is always there. A case of an institution being punished for it's heads doing the wrong thing is different to an extent from a government having the power, and thus, responsibility to treat all people fairly, justly, and like decent human beings.

They'd be liable. The people who allow wrong to be done should be punished. I'm of the impression that 100% of the penn state people who let that stuff go down aren't there. The people who do bad shyt and allow it should be punished, and amends should always be attempted to be made to people who wrong was done by.

The org should have a punitive consequence to pay for having allowed this to happen regardless if the people who allowed it to happen are still there. That's like us saying okay if the president of Syria steps down with all his henchmen, ten Syria will be allowed to have chemical weapons again since all the people that allowed it t o happen are gone
