How about some anecdotal evidence, since more Chinese watched Stephon "Closer to God" Marbury play than people watched the superbowl.

But you don't want to believe the NBA got 450 million fans in China :dead:

bu...bu...but I thought they didn't have nielsen boxes in china...yet somehow they manage to know the exact number for a chinese basketball game.

FOH :mjlol:

The league will be fine without him, and if they need to push a star KD is still only 25. If you haven't noticed Adam Silver seems to be looking at EPL & La Liga as his template for success, expect teams to get pushed more in the future.

Let's be real here Durant doesn't transcend the sport and bring casual fans like bron does

it started a few years ago, tbh.

the replacement refs was when the league peaked

As a Cardinals fan, I loved the replacement refs. Those were the most fairly officiated Cardinals games I can remember. We started the year 4-0 with the replacement refs.

I'm a youth football coach and even I can read the tea leaves and realize the NFL will be extinct in the next 20 years.. During one game we had this weekend 3 EMS Ambulances literally had to come on the field during a 40 minute period..The risks are starting to outweigh the rewards and that's not even taking into account all of the off field savagery...

Jesus christ........

You legit have no idea what you're talking about, this isn't even funny anymore. They manage to know the number for a Chinese basketball game because it was a CBA game broadcasted by the Chinese themselves :mindblown:

All it takes is a couple of titles, especially if one came at the expense of Bron.

They need that rivalry badly. But the NBA has always been way too dependent on players rather than teams. It's an element of why the NFL is so popular. If Peyton goes down business doesn't suffer.

He's not the magnet bron is who people either love of hate even if he wins a few titles he's not gonna draw massive casual fans he's not charismatic he's in okc and he's not a bron caliber player who can carry a league

Problem is it's not a rivalry bron is a top 5 player of all time and the most versatile player we've ever seen Durants a great scorer they are not equals

It's like saying jordan and Malone or Barkley were rivals one is the goat other guys were great but not in Jordan's league

:dead: Stop while you're way behind, CSM Media Research-KantarSport is responsible for keeping track of the CBA viewership numbers, they do not have a partnership with the NBA in Asia.

I mean id be surprised if the NFL aint already peak and only down hill from here..

i see more female NFL fans now than before and thats great, but with the blatant rule changes to make the league more fantasy football friendly (which it seems the fantasy football fad is pretty much already over.. NFL  ) I can see shyt going down hill quick.
:beli:

"Here are five things you might not know about fantasy football and Wall Street:

1. It is more valuable than the NFL. The most valuable team in the NFL, according to Forbes, is the Dallas Cowboys, which is valued at $3.2 billion. The NFL's total annual revenue per year is $10 billion. According to the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, 32 million players spend an average of $467 on fantasy football which adds up to $15 billion.

The derivative market of fantasy football has higher revenues than the actual NFL — that is crazy!!"
