like how this thread from NFL implosion to NFL vs. NBA to Kobe vs. Lebron

Just to circle this, it's kind of hard to buy the leagues imploding when a franchise in Buffalo was just purchased today for over a billion dollars.

So you going to pretend like the homie @Malta dropped facts about basketball being top in China, and relevant in Europe? :mjpls:
Not too mention, basketball is expanding into Brazil and West Africa?

NFL has a huge male fan base because a lot of people played football while growing up. Or people started becoming NFL fans in high school or college. As for women becoming fans, it is what it is. They can enjoy it as much as a man who doesn't really understand the game other than touchdowns and field goals.
NFL is so huge, ticket prices are through the roof. It's a joke. I can't afford anything buy nose-bleed seats.

Also fwiw the NFL is a lot closer to having an international franchise than the NBA is. And no one wants it. You really want an NBA team in London?

:dahell: he ain't even the most popular player in the league right now. that would be kobe. and the nba survived after jordan. it'll survive after anyone. young cats like Wiggins are coming up. I could see him being the next one to carry the mantle.
Weren't you the same one who said LaVine was gonna be better than him?

Do you want an NFL team in London?

Both leagues only go overseas when a particular team can't keep up with the gate.

No I think it's silly. But since we're suddenly so worried about growing the brand I see why they're doing it.

Are dudes in here actually believing that this little incident will have any effect on the NFL's popularity?:wtf:

In a month, no one will be talking about it. It will go back to business as usual. People will realize even football players are human and make mistakes. Rice has been punished SEVERELY.

People will go on back to enjoying this $9 BILLION business as soon as what, Thursday? Cities across America will continue to slurp the NFL's nuts in hopes of getting a Super Bowl.

Nothing to see here.
