Everyone's right. Memphis did a great job denying him the ball and his shot but Steph was passive, its okay to be objective....

After making it a 1-point game at 9:12, Steph the rest of the 4thQ was 1-1 from the field, 2-2 from the line for 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 TO. Steph was 1-2 with 2 points and a crucial TO in OT, and didn't take a shot the last 1:53. So in the last 14:12 of game action in which Steph was on the court the entire time he was 2-3 from the field, 2-2 from the line, 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 turnovers...

In this same time span of the last 14:12, Ja's statline was 6-11 from the field, 2-2 from the line, 15 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0 turnovers. Unobjectively and unequivocally Morant was more aggressive and outplayed Steph down the stretch...

This can't happen if you're Steph, at least go down swinging (meaning being aggressive with your shot taking), and its in bounds to point out we've seen this from him before. Everyone acknowledges this team NEEDS his aggressive shooting, you guys would kill a few other guys for this (Harden and Bron at the top of the list, there are more)...

Overall he played well, and I do think it was clear he was fatigued, but this performance needed more from him and he didn't do it. Again thats a standard yall hold a few other guys too, I'm a Steoh fan but we not about to act like he gets the bar moved for him just because he's Steph...

There's no excuse for the turnovers

But you can't fault him for not shooting when Memphis is banking their entire defensive scheme on preventing him from doing so by sending multiple defenders at him each time he crosses halfcourt :yeshrug:

That's because Ja was allowed to be more aggressive down the stretch.

The Warriors defended Ja 1v1, whereas the Grizzlies made a concerted effort to get the ball out of Steph's hands (at all costs), and made his teammates beat them. Nobody is defended like he is, so you can't really compare how others perform when they don't receive anywhere near the same amount of defensive coverage.

Can you imagine what would've happened if the Grizzlies allowed Steph to go 1v1 like Ja had the luxury of doing?

Wiggins just fukking hurling the ball at the rim. Dray got his backpack on. God bless Poole he prob the 2nd best shooter on the team and he ass.

Do y’all even watch the games. He was getting trapped at half court with 2-3 men on him and although he made the right pases, nobody could hit any shots

and Memphis played great defense:manny:

The turnovers are on him but when you got 2-3 dudes in your grill at halfcourt....what you gonna do? Shoot contested 50 footers?

The issue is Wiggins turned back into Weedplate and Draymond is useless offensively

My main takeaway from this is how important Klay is to the squad. If he was playing, GSW easily beats LA and Memphis
