On a nightly basis and dude still giving mofos damn near 40ptsDid y’all not seeing them trapping him at half court with 2-3 peopleI ain’t never seen nobody defended the way Steph is
That's because Ja was allowed to be more aggressive down the stretch.Everyone's right. Memphis did a great job denying him the ball and his shot but Steph was passive, its okay to be objective....
After making it a 1-point game at 9:12, Steph the rest of the 4thQ was 1-1 from the field, 2-2 from the line for 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 TO. Steph was 1-2 with 2 points and a crucial TO in OT, and didn't take a shot the last 1:53. So in the last 14:12 of game action in which Steph was on the court the entire time he was 2-3 from the field, 2-2 from the line, 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 turnovers...
In this same time span of the last 14:12, Ja's statline was 6-11 from the field, 2-2 from the line, 15 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0 turnovers. Unobjectively and unequivocally Morant was more aggressive and outplayed Steph down the stretch...
This can't happen if you're Steph, at least go down swinging (meaning being aggressive with your shot taking), and its in bounds to point out we've seen this from him before. Everyone acknowledges this team NEEDS his aggressive shooting, you guys would kill a few other guys for this (Harden and Bron at the top of the list, there are more)...
Overall he played well, and I do think it was clear he was fatigued, but this performance needed more from him and he didn't do it. Again thats a standard yall hold a few other guys too, I'm a Steoh fan but we not about to act like he gets the bar moved for him just because he's Steph...
