MJF and Liv Morgan in a romantic comedy ? :troll:

I just saw 'Dynamite' did something like 625k last night on TBS + obviously the ~500k they get on max weekly. That's a really good number against NBA playoffs and NHL playoffs. It was directly against the Warriors on their sister network, TNT.
wonder how things will look once playoffs are over. I know TNT losing the NBA when season ends. I see ESPN/ABC getting it along with NBC and Amazon Prime. I know ESPN already broadcasts games, I think Friday nights or Saturday tho I think Saturday might be NHL. So with the new media deal I wonder if they keep the games on the usual nights like Tuesday and Wednesday I believe, or switch it up. Thinking it stays the same since Monday and Thursday gonna be NFL nights. If anything, AEW could fill the gap left from when NBA ends to next season starts and hopefully pick up a boost in the ratings, at least take advantage of it. Not sure what the numbers were early but guessing that stuff like opening night and first week do well and then ratings start to boost up again after the all star break and closer to the playoffs and the playoffs so dont know if AEW would have much competition. Of course they gotta stay consistent. Plus the MAX numbers aren't shown so they could be doing great on there and just not on cable. But getting fans back when playoffs are over would be beneficial to them. Of course now with streaming its not like you gotta watch live.

Dynamite is getting roughly the same on cable during multiple playoffs on their sister networks, as NXT is doing on OTA network available for free to anyone with a TV made after 2015 and every media box and browser. Even if you don't add in the Max numbers. They're doing fine. I believe I saw a report about how despite going back to smaller venues, their attendance numbers are actually up from 2024.

Under 1 million whatever, Dynamite is pretty consistently the number one show on cable on Wednesdays outside of when the NBA playoffs are going, which is also promoting them 6 times per every game on TNT.

True that. The smaller venues have been great and it boosts up demand for tickets with limited availability as well as venue space. Can't add as much seats as a big arena.

-Acclaimed most over tag team they've ever had
-Breakup happens on Collision
-Max takes his best wrestler alive gimmick, but instead of feeding him jobbers to make him look like something in his open challenges, he just ends up being a comedy punching bag
-Bowens finally returns, on the PRESHOW (I had to find out and watch after the fact, which pissed me off), looks like a million bucks, ready to hit the ground running solo. Gets his win on Max, guess they won't do a blood feud but it's a squash on his old partner, comes off amazing for him

-Dynamite after PPV: No in-ring promo, no feud kickoff, just a quick recap of his return
-And now we are here:

:umad:

Please put him into a long term feud with someone post-match. He does not need to be just wrestling and gaining traction, he already has fan support now capitalize with a good storyline.

Update: He went 9 minutes with Blake who has been firmly established as a jobber on AEW TV, and narrowly beat him in a competitive match after Blake was sparking him for multiple near-falls. A great showcase for Bowens after his return. :comeon:

Nothing since.

He is now just itching to get out on that indy grind

Did a legit wrestling style blade job today for the second time in two weeks, though accidentally. Maybe I need to take a break from AEW, can’t be letting the wrestling blend into the real world. Keep this shyt up and I’ll be licking and drinking the blood before long :francis:

And this week at least did better in the demo. Something which is going under reported is that the NXT audience has gotten significantly older since going to the CW.

:dead:

would’ve been funny if they just let ‘Edge’ go

I don't think there's a need for Edge to by Edge in AEW, but when that Edge and Christian vs FTR reunion happens and he's announced as the Rated R Superstar Edge would be a :blessed:moment

Hopefully they get something going for Bowens soon. I know time is limited so not like they been wasting it especially on people who aren't champs or in current storylines.

Do think there's a difference between Blake and the typical jobber. Maybe that's not the best term to use. Cuz he may lose often but not like those guys you bring in for a quick squash match that's just getting their career started or nobody has heard of.

Bowens is good but had been mostly a tag team guy so they just gotta find his place on the card in the singles division. Don't know who is available that they could mix him in with especially with the ppv coming up in a few weeks. Prolly best to get him some more reps and then get him a decent feud unless they able go build something quick.

Next year they gotta bring All In back to Wembley for an Ospreay main. Scaling down as they cooled off (and they expected full on attack by the WWE) has worked beyond what they even could have expected. If they announce all in back in Wembley at FD they can get a big jump on sales and maybe spring a scheduling surprise on WWE.

The rise is very small but scaling down has done wonders in terms of perception. Getting a sold out or 60% capacity crowd of 3-4k with a last week/2 weeks surge of 30-40% in sales is much better than 3k in a NBA arena were you barely sold 1.5k and had to almost give the other half with way cheaper prices.

It's one of those rare instances when the internet was actually right in what a promotion should do :heh:
