I also know a woman that used to be an agent, so I will talk to her. That's why I was told to have other incomes. I think the bigger companies give you computer generated leads, but again I'm not sure.

Bank wouldn't fix the roof, the search continues. I have to be out of here by end of April so I'm going to make sure I have a list of apartments on deck just in case. Luckily I've seen plenty of availability in my time frame.

During the inspection, dude found that some parts of the roof have 3 layers of shingle on them. This is against code so I wouldn't be able to secure homeowners insurance which means I can't secure the loan.Good news is no one trying to buy a property with a loan would be able to secure it with the roof issue so either they can fix it for me or try to find a cash only buyer. The other issues were pretty minor so hopefully they fix this.
I'm officially a real estate agent though. I signed up with my broker yesterday and now just need cards and all that stuff. I'm going to develop a marketing plan and start targeting some people. i also want to get up with this woman, who is a friend of the family and retired agent and pick her brain.

How do you guys feel about calling employers to show that you're interested? From the couple of times I did, they just gave me a vague answer
Doesn't hurt one bit. Best bet is definitely to stalk the fukk outta somebody though so they will be willing to put in a word for you.
My last 3 jobs have shown me that having someone say "This is my friend, and they are a good worker" will get even a mediocre resume looked at.
Dipping the toe to show them interest can't hurt, but definitely get to know somebody there.

The thing is I don't know anybody. And I'm now realizing it's great to know someone that knows someone.

What kind of place you applying to, fam? Depending on the industry, and whether its a small business or a "known" place, you can go about it a few ways.
