What kind of place you applying to, fam? Depending on the industry, and whether its a small business or a "known" place, you can go about it a few ways.

I'm in coastal GA, I been applying to a variety from corporate to hospitality brands like the Hyatt and Marriott ( I have recruiting/staffing experience in the industry, plus I worked in F&B a lot in undergrad) to small, local offices.

Eh. I was in that spot for a while. I would say narrow down a top 3 and pester they asses. One job I had for a year, I sent a biweekly email to the HR lady for 3 months, asking questions about what i would need to learn and whatnot, and just the culture of the place. Eventually she brought me in to interview, and we went from there.

I made sure to email often enough that she knew how I was, but not so often that she didnt wanna hear from me anymore.

Another way I copped a job was stalking the spot midday:francis:For a few days. I basically got a feel for a couple people I regularly saw leave the job for lunch, and when he time was right, approached one in a nearby restaurant. I 45 minute conversation, then I got his corporate email so he could forward my resume. I didnt get the job the first interview, but a few months later I put in another inquiry and got in. You might have to become a scheming mothafukka to get a gig:mjlol:All you need is someones ear for a few minutes. Sending out resumes alone fukking blows, cause there is almost always someone with a better one.

Thank you!! I will try some of these approaches. I don't live in a big city, so it shouldn't be that difficult since the job opportunities are limited.

My co-worker passed me a job description for a developer so I applied on the humble. Well I just had the phone interview and the recruiter ended up recommending another position they were hiring for. So she asks me about salary and I told her I feel I'm underpaid and want to get paid about $15k more than what I make now. I then asked her if that amount was in range and she was like "Yes that's totally doable and you're right you are underpaid" :heh: That means I should have asked for $20-$25k more.

This is why I try not to be hesitant to share what I make with people, at least give them a range. I'm also thankful to the folks that shared their salaries with me. When you're used to people making minimum wage or a little over, it's easy to get comfortable making anything remotely over that amount.

Women and foreigners of all stripes are the worst fukking drivers. They have infuriating low driving IQ. Just pitiful.

So i was vacuuming my floor when my iPhone charging cable got caught up in it. Best Buy is within walking distance and a cable is like what $10 - $15 , no problem right? Except I know damn well I'm going to go in there and buy something I was not thinking about...lol

In other news, my PA rating was a 4.2 out of a 5. That raise is going to be :banderas: ( Another reason to buy something stupid at best buy )
