The longer I work in the corporate world, the more I realise how I need to start my own business

This is why I have my side hustle, very good at it (great reviews from real people) and if need be I can live off it (just can't build off it though, in due time).

But I love my job too, cause I get to do the things I get paid for through that and get better at the things I can potentially get paid for outside of it.

Keeps me sane sometimes this whole job/work environment is fake and draining. Those people give two fukks about you.

Took me a very long time to learn that separation and to not take it so personal.

I had this exact scenario while working with a former coli poster. That day I saved 30 jobs, nobody was willing to speak in the meeting, they flew in an exec from the U.S. to lay us off. But they were trying to can us with 2 weeks pay over some trumped up shyt and I exposed them with e-mails (they had been holding back work from us then accusing us of under performing). Local bosses were mad as hell but I had receipts :umad: so they made us commit to terms to keep our jobs since they couldn't fire us. The former coli poster was the only clown that bulked and took the 2 week pay but then again his name was @SirBiatch. A tall dummy ass kissing incompetent clown :deadmanny: . Not one other person spoke up for themselves and not one person thanked me. They were all bout to take that shyt laying down and we kept our jobs. Until the recession :merchant:

:myman:

and lol i was wondering what coli poster then you posted it :heh:

but what you did was smart takes guts to stand up

my dad was a welder at tremcar in toronto for like 35 years, they closed up shop and tried to get my dad to sign some two weeks for every year ish.

Gave all staff 2 months notice and tried to give my dad like a week for every year worked, my dad was 62 at the time

Got a lawyer went to court and got like 250k from those fakkits

But I thought the Coli told me Capitalism is evil, but ya'll want to start your own business in this same Capitalistic system

For some reason, it gives off the impression that..... a business that you own equals power and control of how you want to live your life? :jbhmm:

Now I'm confused

Imma argue against you and say if you could successful start your own business, you would have already. :manny:

stupid as fukk

OP, before you jump ship try and join some professional organizations in the industry that you hope to open your business. You want to avoid common mistakes and they will give you realistic expectations etc. The most bias to guard against is the one of rosy expectations that all entrepreneurs naturally have. Optimism is very important but it needs to be tempered by cold reality.
