Stupid argument, just because a front office suck at elevating talent =/= picks aren't valuable. Picks are extremely valuable especially since the new cba essentially makes it impossible to keep good teams together with depth

If you’re Utah,Washington,Sacramento then yes they are EXTREMELY valuable

if you’re a team that has high end talent and is knocking on the door of a title and you need cheap talent to fill out your rotation …then yes draft picks are valuable .

If you’re a team stuck in the middle …what the hell is taking role player talent (the likely outcome) going to do for you outside of keeping you firmly where you are ? Just keep picking from 16-21 and pray somehow you find the next Giannis ? While in actuality you’re taking Dalen Terry’s,Dalton Knecht’s ..or maybe you get lucky and pick some Brandon Podziemski’s …All the while your young blooming stars are stuck on a treadmill

The Magic did not need more mid level young talent they have PLENTY of that.Which has them where they are .The Magic needed another guy who can come in and make an impact .

Orlando's a good team with a core in place, young talent that already can't play because there's no time and with a major weakness: their jump shot. Now Bane is there. In theory he's what they need. Now, we thought KCP could be that and he sucked. We thought they could develop their own guys to shoot and outside of Suggs that hasn't happened.

The only thing I don't like about the trade was that they shoulda fought to get rid of #25 as well instead of a future one (and regardless, start moving some of these useless ass players like Houstan, Jett Howard). Orlando has no business in this draft. Had they stayed they probably woulda took Egor Demin or some dude like that. They got a type: talented athletes who are missing a jumper they can't fix.
