For Memphis, KCP, while not the same elite 3&D guy as he was in LA and Denver, is still pretty good to have some impact, Cole Anthony is a decent contributor.

That is not a bad championship team, still too much though but I get it. They now have a potentially complete team with 5 scores

plus they still keep their own pick in 2027 and 2029 they dont have room for a rookie this year so its really like 2 picks (2028 and 2030) no risk no reward Magic needed another starter bad KCP was terrible this year

If your team is good at drafting and player development, then you can definitely use those picks even if they aren't lottery ones. You can also use those picks to retool around your star player or use to move off bad deals.

A perfect example is Orlando having extra picks that they used to help offload KCP's deal.
