I lived and worked in Cali for a couple of years. I’m not saying I’m an expect but there’s definitely a huge cultural difference between NorCal and SoCal.

NorCal was less segregated when I lived there. The wealth gap was crazy but culturally, people seemed to get along better for the most part.

Now when I lived in LA… gawd Damn. I understand that black folk have been outnumbered there by the Hispanics for decades but shyt felt like Juan Crow, the way a lot of black folks would act in an obsequious manner to the Mexicans.

Don’t get me wrong, there were some cool folk there but shyt just felt uneasy. They’ve concentrated black folk into such small parts of LA, it’s difficult not to end up in Mexican territory. shyt was sad to see.

If any LA brehs thinks I’m bullshytting, then call me out. I’m talking about my personal experience. Mexicans run Cali, and you’re a Damn liar if you say otherwise.

Edit: to be fair. When it comes to the c00nery in LA, the majority i experienced it from were transplants, so it’s unfair to put it all on LA natives. And I never personally had any issues with any black gangbangers.

You got a point here, esp from the older black folks. But many of them grew up during actual Jim Crow so they used to being obsequious.

I don't agree with Mexicans running all of Cali or even L.A. proper. Why do most of their children attend public schools if they run shyt? Whites, Asians and Jews got more valuable real estate, higher incomes, higher life expectancy, higher educational attainment, etc. If simply having numbers was enough than black folks would be running Mississippi or at least in a better situation socioeconomically.

This multi-culturalism is coming nationwide, so I hope we collectively have a plan because a community run by women isn't ready to deal with being attacked on all sides. You think these millennial/gen z black women ready to fight? They fixing to give up.
