What is this impact/influence Kobe had?
These young dudes love Paul George for some reasonPaul George and KD
I get it. PG game is pretty in a vacuum. He might have the best handle ever for a 6-10 or over player. Can shoot, used to be able to score from all three levels, and was a dog defensively. These young dudes love Paul George for some reason![]()
Couldn’t even get his own songIf I posted the LeBron Worship songs on TikTok that exist.
Some of y'all old nikkaz heads would explode
Bronify is hilarious but they diefy him.
If you plugged into TikTok or have young kids you know what I'm talking about.
Bron basically has A MILLION versions of the "like Mike" song on TikTok
Neither will Kobe![]()
That doesn't hurt Kobe Stans feelings like it hurts Bron Stans![]()
Kobe played like MJ, so the comparison made sense. He was a lesser (but still elite) version of Mike.Exactly lol. Bron and his boys been running a "better than MJ" campaign for 20 years now. For Kobe it was always just about being considered on MJ's level, which he accomplished. Phil always said MJ was better but also acknowledged several things Kobe did better than Mike. Kobe fans never hated MJ, tried to downplay his era, etc.
The argument really was always "he's near Jordan" it was never about desperately trying to place Kobe above him with a full propaganda campaign. When the Last Dance was airing, it was the Bron fans that went ghost for some strange reason. Certain brehs literally didn't post for over a month![]()
Gen Z (at least the ones actually in the league) don’t fukk with LeBron like that. They’re literally seamlessly beating him off the dribble, scoring, and shouting out KobeSilent Gen was all about KAJ/Wilt/Russell/Big O and maybe The Logo.
Boomers and Gen Xers are MJ stans with honorable mention for Bird & Magic. Kobe getting more love now.
Millenials are split between Bron & MJ. Kobe gets honorable mention, especially for West Coast peoples.
Gen Z and Gen Alpha won't automatically be Team MJ. Probably Bron + ???
That's the thing that myopic Coli flabbyheads don't get, the era of basketball they grew up on - the mid-90s/early 2000s was actually an anomaly. Since the NBA got rid of the shot clock, it's been fast paced the vast majority of its history, but the Bad Boy Pistons revolutionizing of defense coinciding with overexpansion led to a decade of slow offense. So when they talk about today's stats being "inflated" to discredit the LeBron, Steph, Harden etc...what's really the case is 90s/00s stats were deflated. Makes a lot of the era by era arguments silly both ways. Why would I expect these little nikkas to be MJ fans outside of his shoes? I know a lot of you capping ass nikkas speak fondly of "watching tapes" from games way before you were born, but nobody actually takes you seriously when you speak on Wilt or Moses, brehs![]()
Gen X and older Millenials (let's call em Xennials, like 1980-1985) are definitely the MJ crowd, mid-millenials (85-90) I've noticed are split between Kobe and LeBron and then Zillenials like myself lean more BronSame.
My parents/aunts/uncles were all born between 1944 and 1958. MJ was NOT their dude.
This is mostly Gen X nikkas (ex players & media) hyping their favorite guy.
