August gets the hype of the NFL, but nothing airs nationally really.

Christmas day basketball never meant much to me because I don't celebrate that holiday, but I understand how it`d be cool for fans.

But after x-mas day basketball is a non-thought.

Right now people would kill to have some basketball on

I just think it would be better to have the entire focus of the sporting world on your Finals. You still have preseason game in August and I don't even think the NBA wants to fukk around with that. Can you imagine if the conference finals were going on right now and we still had the Finals to look forward to? That would be perfect. It's better to be a non-thought at the start of the season than to be a non thought in the Finals.

You have zero facts to back your "more people like b-ball than football opinion". Hence you using basically hoes on twitter to support your argument.

Your troll game is impeccable. Either that, or you have very narrow horizons.

And i`m white by the way.

My Pops Forever RIP
To the 2 bolded, the NFL has parity is in who can win the title though.

Last 5 years you got

NY
Pittsburgh
NO
Green Bay
NY

And the difference is, no one was picking those teams to win the title in any of those 5 years. In the NBA analysts said from day one Heat vs. Thunder and that's exactly what we got.

I see your point the NFL surely does have power-houses, but they rarely come out on top where in the NBA it is a much more predictable sport and the powerhouse are far more powerful and win the titles much more often.

As far as the NBA season goes, I think it starts at entirely the wrong time to begin with. Football dominates the culture, so starting a season in October is foolish for many reasons. No one gives a damn about the NBA during the NFL season, football dominates the attention of the American fan and they also get the MLB playoffs at the same time. Just dumb timing for the NBA.

The NBA should start in February and end in August. That way it gives the fans something to tide them over from football, Baseball is almost never critical during it's run, and when it's finishing up football is just starting again and baseball still has a few weeks to go before the playoffs.

Also b-ball is a summer sport to me, look around the playgrounds, people playing that shyt now. No ones playing ball in December/January unless you got access to a gym

There's a million and one reasons why the NBA extending into the summer only works in theory and isn't practical. It's way too much of a headache for the league to deal with on several levels. Moving it farther into the summer when other lifestyle things take over for the summer just isn't realistic.

So you're telling me you think the finals would be a non-thought in August?

I mean I can see how you're saying the football fans like myself, would be so tuned into the NFL getting going that it would tune out some of the importance of the NBA, but NBA finals games are played on weekdays at 8-9 o clock.

I really don't think the NFL would interfere much with the Finals popularity. Also, people would have probably followed the NBA season closer since February and known the teams and players a bit more. Like me, I didn't know who James Harden was until RonRon exploded his cranium.

It's fun to debate though.

Ehh perhaps, I just think the months of October-January isa complete waste of games for the NBA

I dont' think it will be a non-thought just not as big as it would be when it's only comp is midseason baseball. :manny: I don't think there is anything the NBA can do to really get bigger it pretty much is what it is.

Imagine if the NBA had american bred white players who play to the level of a Lebron, Kobe, Durant, and etc :ohhh:

:scheme:

There is one man who is capable of slowing down the NFL. There is one man who has hopes of making the NFL more aesthetically appealing to people outside the U.S.

NFL is king and will be for the forseeable future

i mean that Seahawks/Rams season finale two years ago on NBC was the highest rated regular season game that year if i remember right

it doesnt even matter who the teams are. as long as there is something at stake..the ratings will follow
