well you can believe who you want to believe, but I'm telling you right now that Malcolm was lying. He was prideful and arrogant and let himself be duped by white people who played to his ego and made him believe that he should be the leader of the Nation.
Malcolm was a pimp and a hustler before Elijah Muhammad taught him and raised him to be the Malcolm X that you know and respect. How you gon respect the student but not respect the man that taught him? backwards thinking, bro.
If you say Malcolm was great, then the man who taught him wasn't greater than him? Malcolm himself credited Elijah Muhammad for everything that he was.
Now with that being said, Malcolm's ego was out of control. He began to think that he should be the leader and not Elijah Muhammad and when he went out there and started talking trash about JFK's assasination (which Elijah Muhammad had SPECIFICALLY told his ministers to NOT speak on), he was sat down as a minister for 90 days (just as any person who disobeyed Elijah Muhammad would have been). When you didn't follow orders, you got sat down. That was for any member in the Nation of Islam. Malcolm wasn't special.
Instead of him taking his 90 days on the chin (you mess up, take the consequences that come with it), he decided to leave to "start his own movement" which was a failure by the way.
Malcolm gets shine today... but back in those days, nobody was paying him attention once he broke away from the Nation.
I could show you articles to prove that. For instance, there was one time when Elijah Muhammad was having an event in NYC, and Malcolm decided to hold one on the same day to try to compete with him.
Everybody showed up at Elijah Muhammad's event and hardly nobody showed up to Malcolm's event. It was such a bad turnout that the newspapers of that time were going in on Malcolm for it.
Malcolm got angry and started lashing out and saying made-up things about Elijah Muhammad because he was angry.
Which, that in itself, showed what kind of man he was on the inside. Just because you mad, you go out and lie on a man who YOU said saved your life? Nobody else said it. YOU said it. And you turn on him?
Plenty of people left the Nation over the years, and they were free to do so. But to come back and turn on the Nation and try to destroy it and lie on Elijah Muhammad just because you were mad?
nah, bro, Malcolm was lowdown. He was lowdown from the beginning and when he left the Nation, he went back to his same mindset that he had before. He had no sense of loyalty. To go running to white people trying to tear Elijah Muhammad down was the epitome of hypocrisy.
Reminds me of a lyric from Jay Z "Dig a Hole"
