They were going to; he didn't give them a chance. Even if they came out the gate with four years, I think he walks. All signs are that he wanted to bounce. Even the reports about him being salty about the Devin Williams signing sound flimsy. Williams came in saying he knew that he would be used as a setup 8th inning pitcher.

Stearns, aka the smartest guy in the room, better have something cooking in the kitchen. I'm not a fan of 5 for Pete, but after selling 3 million tickets, letting all the long term fan favorites go isn't the best way to help ticket sales.

Don't let me catch him on the 7 train if he doesn't pull something off

Yea this is where I'm at too.

And like I wrote in the other thread.. I just don't think Stearns has it in him. His mentality is 100% small market. You can't Nickle and dime your way to a World Series. If he doesn't turn this offseason around in a BIG way .. the fans will run him off. Guaranteed.

0% chance Stearns would keep him on if we don't show up to the games.
