Man I had high hopes for Vaughn Grissom think buddy is cooked.

Make the deal Elias and then get some more!

Alonso in B-More don't hate it. I know he's scheduled some meetings. They are definitely after a slugger. They apparently matched the Phillies offer for Schwarber but didn't get him.
they might have PTSD from Chris Davis so they might not want him, but Baltimore gotta splurge on someone to make people believe, especially since Rutschman is in a make or break season

2B Holliday
3B Westburg
SS Henderson
1B Alonso
C Rutschman
LF Ward
CF Cowser
DH Basallo or Mountcastle
RF O'Neill or Kjerstad

The Chris Davis trauma is different cause they were in a bidding war with themselves. Nobody was gonna pay Davis what the O's paid/still paying him. I feel Alonso is a different profile of hitter, Scwharber would've been more likely to be the bad bat that Davis became if he loses his power.

Vaughn Grissom is a light hitting 2B.

Unless the Angels know how to develop him, I don't understand this move all that much. His value was high 3 years ago as a prospect but I don't think he's taken that next step and at age 23 I'm not sure what the Angels expect.

Maybe the only argument here is that Luis Rengifo sucks so if you're gonna have an underwhelming 2B, might as well have a 23 year old one over a 29 year old one.

Phillies might have overpaid for Kyle Schwarber.
I do think he's valuable and the Phillies still have the talent to make a World Series run.

I'd just be worried about how this team looks in 2028.
By then, Harper, Schwarber and Turner will be 35/36.

Between Justin Crawford, Andrew Painter and Aidan Miller, two out of the three probably need to pan out.

It's possible Philly is burning 60-70M on Trea Turner, Aaron Nola and others by the end of the decade.
