The Dodgers can’t do anything about their pitching except hope they get healthy.

The way high velocity is prioritized these days, you’re only going to see more injuries at a position that is inherently injurious.

You can’t spend your way out of that other than to just stack talent, and that has its own limits.

Still, they’re leading the division so I don’t see any reason to panic. If people are freaking out because they aren’t on pace to win 110 games, they’re fools.
They also gave over $300 million to a couple guys who get injured all the time and don't eat innings (Snell and Glasnow).

Yeah. Well, a lot of people consider the Dodgers to be the new Evil Empire. Not that you root for guys to get hurt, personally. But broadly speaking I’m sure a lot of fans are happy that LA isn’t quite so invincible.

Contract will be such a disaster in a few years
Ima keep it a buck.. I kind of feel like he's not gonna be in Queens for too long. I got a feeling dude ain't happy (for whatever reason) and is gonna end up having a new home. Big ass contract or no big ass contract.

I hope I'm wrong and he turns it around.. but I'm just gettin that vibe..

Papi Soto already regretting his decision?
Could be :yeshrug:

I don't see why, but I aint him.

First place/contending team? Check.
Good protection from Pete? Check.
Getting PAID paid? Check.
Dominican honeys at every game? Check.
His boy Lindor on the team? Check.
Doesn't have to be the face and can just blend in? Check.
Play for a player's coach? Check.

I mean.. only he knows.

I struggle to see a scenario where Juan Soto doesn't remain in Queens for at least a decade.
He already burned the bridge to the Yankees so who else is acquiring that contract?

The Dodgers have apparently signaled they intend on pursuing Kyle Tucker.
The Cubs haven't shown any taste for spending lately.
That goes for the Red Sox too...who probably already regret signing Rafael Devers to his deal.

He's MLB's version of Bron. Always team jumping to play with other stars.

Yea this is the more than likely outcome, but you can't really measure misery, you know? And if dude is miserable (which it kinda looks like he is) then he's gotta do what's best for him. Feel me?

I could see a reunion with the Yanks. Winning cures everything.

If the Cubs let dude walk... :francis:

I don't know enough about Boston to comment, but you'd gotta think they're ready to start competing for chips again.

And if the Dodgers don't end up signing Tucker, they could circle to Soto.

At the end of the day, lets all hope he starts beasting again and all this talk is just that .. talk.

The cubs reportedly willing to pay him according to a cat who is plugged

I’m indifferent about it :yeshrug: I don’t prefer those big crazy contracts. If tucker walks cubs get the qo, Suzuki goes back to rf and ballersteros the dh.

the dodgers gettin mad dough off their tv deal they can afford multiple huge contracts. Cubs owner just wants to make dough off a super loyal fan base especially when the championship drought was broken no urgency to spend.

Wrigley has been fairly tough on hitters.

I wouldn't be against the Cubs giving a moderate contract to Zac Gallen if they can get his walk rate back down.

Dylan Cease makes sense too, though he's going to be pursued fairly heavily this offseason. My guess is Cease tries to get 35M per year...give or take. At 7 years that puts him in the 245M territory. Maybe that's steep for pitchers these days but we'll see. Max Fried only got 218M over 8 years from the Yankees so maybe the market for Cease is softer.

So-Fla
Cohen has so much money I definitely believe he would move Soto even if paying for the majority of the contract to better the team when/if needed
