White sox didn’t want to give up two pitchers(one who never made it to mlb)so they traded tatis Jr instead :gucci:

Damn. I don't even remember Tatis being in the White Sox farm system. But then look at his wiki/transaction history. Makes sense they got rid of him before he even played a game. WTF.

Look throughout history a lot of trades end up being lopsided but prospects are hard to project

Cubs gave up gleyber torres for 2 months of Chapman but they won the championship

Theo also gave up Dylan cease for Quintana bum ass :pacspit:

Giants gave up Zac wheeler for 44 games with Carlos Beltran and they didn’t make the postseason

That Baez pca trade will go down the same

I'll always be grateful to the Padres for trading Max Fried to the Braves in the Justin Upton deal.
:blessed:
Man.

I remember when I thought Denny Bautista was going to be the future Ace for the O's and they traded him a bum ass RP in Jason Grimsley. Fortunately Bautista was a bust.

I do feel like you though when the Mariners gave the O's (Adam Jones, Chris Tillman and some dudes) for Erik Bedard.

Braves gave up Vaughn Grissom for Chris Sale. Also gave up Christian Pache as the main prospect to get Matt Olson. I'm trading those prospects the majority of the time.

Yea I remember Christian pache was high on a lot of prospect rankings and he’s been mid/below average as a big leaguer

I agree but there’s certain prospects you know will be good. Cease was projected to be exactly what he is

Pache didn't even last a full season with the A's if I remember correctly.

Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman both came to the majors the same season. Heyward was basically the top prospect in baseball. We've seen how their careers played out.

Cause I'm that kind of fantasy nerd. I have prospect books at the ready.

2021 - Pache was the Braves #1 prospect and Strider was their #30

also of note top 3 OF prospects for the Braves at that time. Pache, Drew Waters and Michael Harris II. See which one has developed. Waters seems to be turning a page with the Royals though.

Trust I know :martin:heyward was trash for the cubs

Dude gave that speech then had one of the worst ab’s I’ve ever seen in the 9th inning of game 7 when the cubs needed insurance runs

Freeman was clutch for the dodgers in the ws

Heyward came up early and reached free agency at 26 and was projected to be better but :francis:
