Dodgers be treating Ohtani like he superhuman. U bringing him back vs the damn Padres:what: I get why he cant do rehab starts, but damn. Hes on his 2nd tommy Johns, cant throw the splitter like he used to. I thought they shoulda used him as a reliever. Or put his azz in the outfield. He can play out there.

Ill be watching tho :beli:

Does seem hella premature for a dude coming back from a SECOND elbow surgery. He's gonna go from simulated live BP scenarios to starting a game?

Will be glued to my TV.

What's the over under on number of starts till he gets a pitching injury?
No clue.

But Tom House said it’s very unlikely Ohtani can pitch and hit for very long and that the injury risk goes up significantly.

The Dodgers pitching injuries may have slightly forced the issue here. They kinda need Ohtani in the rotation now. My prediction is that Ohtani is a full time hitter in 2 years though

Ohtani wants to pitch. He obviously told them that. They seemed comfortable waiting till after the all star break.

He had the potential to be a cy young winner at one point. He needs to let this pitching shyt go imo

Let him have his fun, they'll stick him in left field eventually. He'll pretty much be a Super Saiyan Soto
