You missing the point. I don't care if you like him or not, but yall acting like yall don't understand why ill will is battling him. Business wise this battle makes sense.

In normal circumstances I would agree with your point but smack compromised your point with the whole bars over names thing and doing a couple of blogs on lyricism over just a name

If it's really giving the fans the battles they wanted to see based on business then you drop the bag on the lux vs hollow battle. Smack set a precedent and now he has to stick to it. Sticking to it means smack should be valuing quality

As far as the purist and people who really rock with battle rap nobody sits in anticipation for a DNA battle. His views suggest it and on all the battle rap message boards it is common knowledge that people are a bit tired of seeing dude. I'm on all the message boards nobody raves about him.

Smack said bars over names but I doubt if he really meant that. I think that was just a marketing slogan after he couldn't book lux vs hollow, or mook vs surf. At that time him and hitman wasn't seeing eye to eye, the same things with clips. If it was really bars over names would arsonal, calicoe, and serius jones been on that card? Kshine had just got bodybagged by big t and he still made sm3.

Since sm3 he brought the names right back. How many times have we seen a washed up yung ill battled since sm3? How many times are we going see k shine give a trash performance. He didn't mean that bars over name shyt. Does he even still use that slogan?

I'm telling you battle rappers/lyrical rappers have the worst ear for beats. It wouldn't be fair to just say battle rappers, but every single nygga nowadays wants to be a rapper, they all have mixtapes,
& their music is awful.

I truly believe you get what you pay for. If you dont have access to decent production, your better off rapping over proven instrumentals. The beats these nyggas be rapping over are generic & horrible since everyone wants to be a producer too.

I say Nas is one of the few guys I can enjoy over a mediocre beat. Joe Budden as well. They don't really need top tier production to make great music imo

Its over the phone so the quality isnt great, the song is called Turn it up its a club song and like you said about battle rappers and beats shes one of them that has a bad ear. I wasnt expecting a super lyrical track but i didnt think it would be that bad either she should hire a ghost writer if she is gonna take music seriously
