That's how it is now. Lol.... Only difference is a record... And like I stated it's more of a thing to make sure nikkas won't mail it in... Of course it'll be controversial shyt that happens but that's part of it. Happens in boxing a lot... These dudes just coast in battles now... Like I've said... Dudes are NOT gonna want to see their names next to "2-7" no matter HOW it goes down. This shyt needs a spark... This shyt is getting dull.

Ghostface is a funny nikka, we'll agree to disagree.

Young Ill is the PERFECT example. This nikka is still getting booked Smack battles on his current losing streak. He's probably getting a lot more bread to than a cat like Ty Law who actually has a winning record in front of Smack cameras, PLUS bars, delivery, performance, all that extra entertainment shyt.

All judging is subjective, how many times do I have to type this? That doesn't mean that we'll have nikkas getting jerked EVERY battle. Every now and again the judges will have to make a hard decision but guess what? That'll give battlers even more fire to actually put their pen to work, along with animate, deliver, flow, and have punches that make sense. A nikka like B Magic can't coast off punches without animating if wins mean something financially, just as how a Tsu would be forced to make sure his punches make sense.

It really would give us better battles in the end, at least in my opinion.

Good post, and I don't disagree. Though it would also give the battlers more opportunity to cry about the outcomes and be divas. I can already hear the excuses now.

I'm actually kinda torn, and I feel like a decent argument could be made either way

Sad thing is these cats with highly "debatable" records book battles with a debatable in mind. No one wants to win and the fans lose. How many Hitman Holla vs. Conceited's ya'll want to watch?
