Because battlerap wasn't popping like that. We just started getting all these other leagues like GW, SK and these other fly by night leagues with the bread to book URL nikkas the last 2-3 years.

even if thats the case, how does that help a dude who can get 30 battles basements and 3 KOTD? URL only has 4 maybe 5 events a year on top of that.

It comes down to what kind of $$$$ URL is offering If they are offering more for 2 battles than he can get doing 5 battles elsewhere, then it makes sense.

Surf never battled on UW because the paper wasn't right. Even though O Red is waaay nicer than Surf, you can't book Surf for 2k like you can with O Red. Is it really hard to believe that these leagues didn't have the money to book top URL guys until now?
