how am I stupid for not comprehending the nonsensical way that you score battles?
you can't judge battles, something that you can only rate subjectively, the same way you judge boxing, something that you can clearly rate objectively. A knockout in boxing means the fight ends immediately...there is no equivalent in a rap battle short of a fight breaking out or a crowd rushing the stage (and even there, the battle doesn't necessarily end). A knockdown in boxing means the opposing fighter was hit with such damage that he fell and potentially could've lost the fight. In a "sport" where rappers go one at a time, how do you qualify what is a knockdown and what isn't?
Judging battles under boxing rules has always sounded retarded, and is usually unfairly exploited by people who want an excuse to give their favorites a win. I've seen nikkas use boxing scores to give a nikka a 10-7 round, and win the entire battle strictly off of that one round. Does that make sense to you?
At the end of the day, battlers go into it KNOWING full well how many rounds there are, and that you have to win two out of three. If you put all your good shyt in one round, but closely lose the next two...you lost plain and simple. All this knockdown/near knockout shyt is retarded
