No Mook, Lux, Rex, no URL. They made it popular. They created a lane for "street/written" battles. It wasn't popping before they made it must see part of the Smack DVDs
So yeah the Hitmans and them built URL, but URL wouldn't have even been thought of or even had a platform if it wasn't for the other dudes.
And let's not act like the Lionz Den (Lux's league) isn't where Smack got a large part of his core battlers from.
1. by your premises they might as well pay craig g and supernatural for battles. hell lets bring shell and juice back out of retirement. cause no them, no lux, mook etc not url. if craig g, supernat, shells etc went onto smack dvd and got more money then mook lux reed etc after mook lux etc played a major role in building smack dvd, then would that be fair?
2.lux, mook solomon or jones never battled on lionz den and im not discrediting rex, cause i believe he part of the people who built url. im not arguing any of the guys who came off lionz den, k shine, goodz, head ice cause they were all part of the url being built. again im not saying the midwest alone built the url, im saying they played a major role and do have a point.
3.url was a huge step behind grindtime in popularity at the time it was released and criticized heavily for being a league of just gun talk rappers with no creativity and no balance. so lets not act like url came out the gate on top. grindtime was much bigger. these new cats built it up to the point where they going to clubs and halls and selling it out. this was without mook, lux, solomon or jones being part of it in any way.
im just saying they have a point. they shouldnt have went to twitter with the point though. but you cant act like them dudes dont have a point in they complaints.
thats like the guys who started myspace coming in and making more money off a project at a facebook event, then claiming well they laid a blueprint out for social networks so they deserve more than the guys who built facebook even though the guys who built facebook have taken facebook 3x farther than the success myspace has ever achieved. in no buisness anywhere is this fair, why is it fair here?
