Very entertaining hot 97 interview with Joe and hollow I think the battle will b closer than people think and hollow number one on my list, Joe can rap his ass off and free, but hollow, well he's number one for a reason

see imo it doesnt' matter if joe can rap his ass off cuz that aint got shyt to do with battling

if that were the case then why doesn't it work in the opposite way? why can't the nikkas who are dope at battling make dope music for the most part? there are only like 5 maybe 6 nikkas in battle rap who can make decent music and they dont even sound like the same nikka when they rap over tracks

I'm hype for the ppv but man I sense no interest from the casual fan market at all (which was the goal of the tv show)

If they think the hard core battle rap fan dudes is all they need to make the shyt a success they already lost in buyrates

Ab Soul surprised the hell out of me but it was a 1 rounder. I think Lu would be deadly in a small room.

We trusting Surf now? He can't even get his own bars right but I hope he is offering constructive criticism.

I have low expectations for Total Slaughter based on a few things. Ebro co-hosting . He doesn't even fukk with the scene. "Start rapping to beats and I'll come around." Any nikka who says this is retarded. Acapella allows for more advanced bars, delivery, styles, and performance.

Judging at the event and Kid Capri has the tie breaker

Another thing I don't like is the crowd size. If they get 2500+ I expect a lot Slaughter House/noob fans and I hope they don't ruin it. My boy at work started watching battles because of Total Slaughter. He came up to me last night;

Me: Probably Chilla and Clips. You?
Him: Well, first I got DNA...
Me: DNA!?! HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE BARS
Him: You're crazy. DNA is nice and he can freestyle.
Me: Do you even know what schemes are?
Him: Yeah, that's when they talk about someone's personal life.

That's gonna be a lot of the audience. Getting into battles now and starting with the recent uploads is like starting Breaking Bad at season 5. You can't catch the bars without knowing the history behind them. You won't understand why Surf wants to forget that time out in Michigan. My boy didn't know who Hitman was and he thought KOTD was based in the UK. I'm gonna try to school him.

I don't know anyone in real life who watches battles. I want to introduce people to it but I doubt they have the intelligence to break down bars. They'd be all Jadakiss, reacting to simple shyt.

It's not a lot of casual folks flipping to FUSE at midnight "oh yo, there's a show on with a bunch of unknown rappers living in a house, let's watch it"

anxiously checking every week to see how daylyt and marv won co-exist and what kinda bars arsonal is bringing to the table.

pretty high hopes to think this show would attract any new fans.
