I remember as a kid I saw that like "Eminem lost though"

I'mma keep it real....(12th grade at the time) i thought he had a dope comeback vs Lotto, the leave it to beaver rebuttal straight out the gate was good. As time went on though, the more i watched 8 mile later down the line Em damn near got bodied by Lotto. That's how memorable and hard hitting Lotto verse was. The "Lotto/Lottery" wordplay by Em kinda saved him.

Eminem wrote both verses. As an emcee I can tell he went back in after the fact and butchered the one he gave to Lotto to accomodate the plot of the film.

That "Honkey sue me" was the set up to "Horror movie" but was scaled back from a multi into the more generic "This movie" instead. The original verse was likely way better. If they did it in front of an actual crowd though Em's "new bra" line would have gotten a bigger pop than that leave it to beaver line. But yeah, all that "Rear end" "Have a nice day" shyt... Em gets away with that so thats how he writes. A black battle rapper would get destroyed on that bullshyt outside of grind time/kotd.
