The Total Slaughter mockery seemed a little deeper than just Daylyt c00ning. I was shocked to see that these dudes were paid 1k a battle for such a huge event, not to mention the tournament, rush style show obviously reduced the quality of the battlers material. I don't usually put a whole lot of stock in Day's interviews, but I did hear one where he said flat out that he went into that TS event not giving a flying fukk about it from a "biggest thing for battle rap" mentality. Hell, even Hollow went into that with animosity... so at least part of me was kind of happy to see someone throw a "fukk you" to the vultures that obviously didn't know how to put on a battle even (that venue was horseshyt bad and there was plenty of evidence beforehand to suggest it would be).

That said, I do get annoyed when he throws entire rounds/battles away, but that's because I am a big fan of his bars when he goes in. But I'm starting to see the Hollywood in battle rap. I mean shyt, look at Diz. That nikka has been stepping over the line since way before the Hoffa punch.. and he's the equivalent of a household name. You want to get attention/appearances/views, you gotta do something unique. Day's form of unique is kind of brilliant, kind of annoying, and kind of gay. :manny:

i never checked up on the pay for total slaughter, but are you saying that everone on the show got 1K per batte they did on the show? or 1K per battle on the ppv event?

i know a bunch of people on here hated that whole event, but i personally think that it was a good look for battle rap.

a show on fuse is not some huge ratings boom, but it does expose battle rap to more people. the way they brought in rex as basically what amount to a "ringer" was hilarious to me.

as far as the venue/setup for the ppv, there were some issues. the fans were not close enough to the stage. but i was glad there were not 100 entourage dudes on the stage also.

as far as daylyt is concerned, that dude is a character. personally, im not a fan, regardless of the antics. but i fully understand what he is doing. press is press, and that dude is a prime example of that being true.

I don't think what he did at TS was c00ning, it was just dumb. I called daylyt a c00n because of the Mike Brown shyt. I agree TS was bullshyt.
I'm just sick of his act. I thought once he got bigger he would stop doing that dumb shyt. I agree with everything you said about it getting too Hollywood.

check out this dude trying to rap like daylyt.....he even had a mask on.....he did have some bars but crowd was gassing him like he was really day...smh
:patrice::patrice::comeon:

Wait.. is this supposed to be a Daylyt vs. Lux parody type thing? The first dude doesn't sound anything like Lux, but peep his delivery. There's a lot of shyt that follows very closely to Lux's preacher style.

:ohhh:

Yeah. It was posted a few weeks after the event that each round of the tournament was a 1k payout. I believe Rex got either 3 or 5k for winning the tournament. I'll try to find that source though.. could be a random nikka talking, but Daylyt also said on one of his post even interviews that he only got "a stack" for the battle.

Goodz also said they were only getting a 1000 for each battle they won, that's why he didn't do it.

i feel like a couple of people on here said they don't care to see charlie and rex battle, but thats my most anticipated battle.

i'm seriously hoping both of them come out fully prepared.

next question - do we know yet if this will be streamed live? i'd much rather watch in my living room
