URL needs to take responsibility for some of these trash match ups, how do they not know that Rex and Calicoe are cool with each other or Con and Holla aren't really good friends. Of course the battle was gonna suffer and they take it easy on each other.

Beasley with these random ass names is hilarious, Sleeping bag Bob :mjlol:

They want to fill seats/sell tickets. So match-ups like this will happen. Maybe I'm biased, but I don't really feel like they need to explain themselves when KOTD books at least 3x as many match-ups where at least 1 participant won't be giving 100%, and they don't get any shyt about it.

just look at his last 2 battles, him vs Solomon sucked the life out of the crowd.

Him vs Lux, Lux was the boring one. Lux looked awkward as fukk on that empty as stage.

There's something about Mook. Not only is it boring to watch him battle, his opponents come boring against him too. Lux is really not a boring rapper, so that was painful to watch & we've seen Solomon provide way more entertainment than that in the past.

Ya I mean I understand why it would take a long time to write some Boo Blaka Boo Blaka shyt...

:rudy:

Ty Law brings punchlines on steroids fam. I'd want to be well prepared too.

if everyone is ducking Ty Law they could thrown him DNA.
Also I dont believe Magic ducking anyone. In his prime he battled anyone that called him out.

The URL wanted DNA/Chess because of the age comparison. Both started at 16, etc.

There was an interview last year with Bmagic talking about Ty Law. It's not that he's ducking him, it's just that he felt Ty wasn't putting in any work for it to be a bigger match up & I can't really disagree with that. Ty was quiet in 2013.

In conclusion, I believe Bmagic wants that battle, but wants it to have some significance because Ty Law is ice cold right now.

Beasley with these random ass names is hilarious, Sleeping bag Bob :mjlol:

Beasley kills me with these every time. The mufukka just makes up random names & they all hit.

Murda Mook amazes me with how far he has gotten. He is by far one of the most boring & uncharismatic nyggas in the world of battle rap. His whole style is just boring. I can't even make it through an interview with the man.

I don't fault you NY nyggas for praising him. I'm sure you guys can relate to him in ways that I can't. I'm not from NY. We use to watch those smack dvd's back in the day & we thought he was boring as fukk. We all thought Serius destroyed him.

It really wasn't until I got on the internet that I realized he had this legendary status. Although I believe Serius beat Mook, it forced me to have to really take a long hard look at that battle, because this nygga Jones was begging for a rematch as if he lost the battle.

T-Rex said in a recent interview that what makes Mook great is his decision making. He puts himself in the best possible position to succeed.

I honestly feel stylistically, Math is the only guy that can make an entertaining battle with Mook. If Mook were to battle anyone else, he would just suck the life out of the battle & put everyone to sleep.

Does anyone disagree? Someone let me know if I'm trippin here?

Mook and Math in particular are very good at networking (they're both extremely personable) & they spend more time mapping their next moves out than most battlers. So that allows them to go beyond where their natural talent would take them. And yeah I'd say that I can relate to Mook in ways that you can't. I don't find his interviews boring at all.

The biggest problem I see is that he's the top dog, so he can't just go in and try to outrap his opponent. He has to win, and for him it's all about strategizing and picking his opponents apart. And the way he does it isn't exciting beyond the initial reveal/card pull. It probably took a lot of wind out of Iron Solomon's sails when Mook revealed to the world that he only had one testicle. But there's absolutely nothing rewind worthy about the way he put that material together.

Let's not start all this "ducking" business. Remember when everyone in URL was "ducking" Swave? Remember when everyone was "ducking" Real Deal? When everyone was "ducking" O-Red, Big Kannon, etc...

History has shown us that these guys weren't necessarily the most fearsome battlers in the world. The real problem is that these guys are lacking personality-wise, so the match-ups weren't exciting enough for top tiers to take. I think Ty Law fits in that category unfortunately. There just aren't enough defining characteristics about some of these guys to want to write about.

The problem is they will decline a certain battle on the URL, & then proceed to do that same battle in Omaha.

Let's say the URL wants to make The Flyest vs Wizworld in April. Let's say I decline the battle, but then proceed to battle you in Nebraska on the Ultimate Cornhusker Battle League. That's the kind of shyt url nyggas do.

It's not necessarily ducking, but it's business & they would rather have a better look on the URL since it's the biggest platform.

:ehh:

Thats the only reason I believe Magic wouldnt take that battle. At this point it would do nothing for his profile. If Law wins (which is a good chance) it would only decline his status which is at a all time low already. Dont blame Magic for not taking Law at this point. But its a battle every true fan would want to see no matter the circumstances :mjcry:

I clearly understand what Mook does & he's highly effective at it. He takes an intelligent approach. He's very self aware. He has no problem holding out as long as possible for a big payday, because the reality of it is all it takes is for one bad loss. He is also aware enough to know who he should or shouldn't battle.

I don't know what the offer was when KOTD offered him Charlie at Blackout, but it didn't really matter. I knew he would never agree to that battle. Mook is all about maximizing his money & Charlie would have been a huge threat to that.

That's totally true. They take those battles elsewhere but don't give 100% effort, because they don't believe the fans will care about the outcome of those battles. By doing this, they perpetuate the idea that URL is the only stage that matters. But that doesn't totally benefit URL because the "top tiers" have leverage OVER the URL/Smack staff, because the other battles don't matter, and they are still irreplaceable.
This is why the contracts exist for the newer guys. The "top tiers" can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and no one can hold them accountable. All they need to do is have good performances in like 2/3rds of their Smack battles. And if they mess up two Smack battles in a row, a couple dominant performances out of Smack will get the fans asking for them again. The top-tiers exercise every option that is available to them.
In an ideal world, people would only do battles they give 100% in. Either they have it out for their opponent, or a bad performance could put their battling career in a bad position. But that's not how things are at the moment.

Dot said he wants Hitman for Rookies Vs Vets 2 & that he would SMOKE Htiman. He also wouldn't mind battling Surf either.

It's interesting listening to him speak. He's a lil more intelligent than you would expect him to be.

Says the more he battles, the more the fans embrace him, because they understand where he's trying to go with it

:mjlol:The nygga said his game plan is to kill his next opponent with performance like he usually does when he battles on Black Ice

:ehh:He's self aware & understands the importance of selling tickets. Talked about marketability.

What's the determination over trust? DOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

nikka said he always had "pizazz." I think the nikka just mispronounced "pizza."

What's hilarious is that this sloppy nasty motherfukker actually DOES have pizazz. You don't really see it until you see him working a stage live. He's the smoothest Jabba the Hut looking mofo in battle rap. As ridiculous as it sounds, that nygga's kinda elegant.
