Nah, overall he's not. He is a better writer & freestyler, but his clarity and projection are well below John John's.
It could get ugly for Prep if he stumbles or has a dry spot.

Todd doesn't really make it ugly for anyone. Only way possible for it to get ugly is if he performed against Prep like he did against Hitman & nyggas never recreate the past. This is such a bad battle, I don't even know if I'll be able to finish it.

Basically your saying Todd could overwhelm him with performance, but the problem with that is the gap in their pen game is much bigger than the gap in their performance.

It's kind of how I've been saying The Saga is gonna beat Suge clearly. Suge's best chance is if Jai writes that nyggas bars. The gap in their pen game is much bigger than the gap in their aggression. I also haven't seen anything from the Saga to make me think he can't perform on a stage like I have seen from other pg nyggas. His material so much more put together than Suge's. Nyggas really act like Suge can duplicate what T-Top did.

Everyone says Lotto Zay has one of the best pen games in battle rap, but I don't hear it. Maybe it's his voice or delivery but he doesn't sound crazy to me. I never leave his battles thinking he's cold like that. He's straight but I don't hear those bars that floor me.

You hit the nail on the head. His voice and delivery. Me and my home boys had this discussion after the rum nitty battle. Dude lowers his voice to stress the punchline when it should be the other way around.

Hollow would give Daylyt that WORK in a battle, it's been done before (Xcel,Chilla,...)

Daylyt really became a Lux stan after the Lux/Calicoe battle. That battle got Daylyt where he is today, because I doubt he would have implemented gimmicks & changed his whole style without that battle.

Chess talks about his progression in battle rap from his wegohard league to U.R.L. Chess says he's been battling since he was nine years old. Chess says Tsu Surf, Hollow, Goodz, and Yung Ill were some of the few names that influenced him.

Chess shares his views on the comparison between himself and DNA. Chess says "I'm nothing like DNA" Besides us being the two youngest progression battle rappers, other than that, we have nothing else in common.

Chess says he's excited to battle DNA and being a part of U.R.L is a great opportunities. I have no pressure going into this Pg Vs Vet event battling DNA. Chess says it doesn't matter who DNA battled in the pass, he says he's none of them.

This is just the beginning, Chess speaks. This isn't the highlight of my career I see so far pass this. This isn't surprising, this is what I expected to do, it just happening faster than what I expected.

I didn't say JJTD would make it ugly for Prep. If the crowd tunes Prep out it will get ugly for him. It was ugly for Reed... he looked and sounded real amateur up there with JJTD. If the battle is nearly as unwatchable as you suggest, Prep will be the one that suffers.

If Suge comes with 3 rounds of what he had v Reepah Rell and the time limits are strictly enforced, its a debatable at worst for Suge. He doesn't need particulary well crafted rhymes to be dope, he just needs entertaining material that fits his character.

facts, he has moments like the Syah Boy battle where he snaps, but he's too inconsistent to really vouch for his pen game like that

Saying his voice and delivery aren't nice. He's had a ton of dope lines that aren't even memorable because of that. Those are the reasons why he's stuck in mid tier limbo.

voice and delivery are actually the two biggest factors on why all these mid tiers have hit that glass ceiling.
