I'm of the strong belief that a large part of Roc's rise these last 12-18 months has been to get someone else on stage that will most likely get through a battle with three C+ to B- rounds, and that the fickle ass NY crowd would give half a chance. Bite-sized, digestible bars with little risk (unlike a PG). Suge might get this same treatment, but I find him to be even less talented (battlewise) than Roc. Suge does not make it 3 rounds without getting boring.

Mark my words now though, by the end of this year, Roc is going to get treated the way DNA is being treated now. The fanbase will "catch up" and realize, like they did with DNA, that the nikka is gassed.

hell, while I'm at it.. Who's a better battler overall? Roc or DNA? Even with their 1on1, I'm going DNA.

The whole Suge argument is so ridiculous because he can barely get through a battle, & then nyggas turn around & wonder why he hasn't been on Smack. They are really oblivious as to why they don't use him. He has everything you could want for an URL emcee (voice, believability, etc), but they don't use him. Why? Because they can't. The mufukka can only give you a round. They really believe the URL wasn't using Suge because he doesn't sell himself? Nah the nygga can't get through a battle. Nyggas look into shyt way too deep.

I hate to be the fantasy match killer in this thread, but as a life long boxing fan, both have way too many similarities

1) The match that the people want to see, that make sense, NEVER happen
2) If that match does end up happening, it happens when the match isn't even hot anymore

If you look at the battle rap landscape, with the exception of Tay Roc, Hitman has pretty much battled everybody. I'm sure the Tay Roc situation will be worked out eventually, as that is the biggest match available to him, but even if it isn't, he still wouldn't battle Suge on the URL platform. Someone of Hitman's stature will be looking to make the biggest battle possible that will give him the best look. Hell he could sit on the sidelines until a new name emerges.

I disagree with you about UW not being able to afford the battle. These guys will decline a battle on the URL, & then turn around & battle that same guy for less money on another platform. I could see this nygga battling Suge on UW or the Idaho Battle League, but he's definitely not gonna do it on the URL.
Considering the large bulk of fans only watch URL; Hitman could go to Newark, get completely violated and it's like it pretty much never happened.

In yalls opinion, who is the worst rookie on the rookie vs vets card?

The only one I'm just not familiar with is Mr Wavy, nor do I have any desire to check out his battles.

Rocs rise has been because he's been solid and loyal to URL. Smack didn't start pushing Roc until High Stakes and Total Slaughter when he was afraid of people jumping ship. Why the whole Roc is gassed argument is nonsense because he hasn't done anything that he wasn't doing before, he's just getting a bigger push now.

Nah, he's gassed. He gets on a stage, says bars that are mediocre while screaming.. nikkas go wild. Even Roc himself said they were gassing his shyt during the battle. It may be what he always did, that's cool. But he's getting a treatment similar to DNA years ago, when nikkas loved him despite his material being aggressive and empty.

I'll always watch every new battle with an open mind, but his body of work bar-wise has been very average. His performance seems to capture people, and it makes for entertaining battles. His opponents show up (DNA showed the fukk up and I'll take that to my grave).

nikka. Theres is only 2 good vets on that card. TODD, DNA, and Real Deal are fukking trash.
I'd say Sno is the worst rookie on that card..either Sno or Prep.

Edit:Forgot about Mr.Wavy. He's the worst rookie on that card easily. Nobody asked for this nikka on this card.

I one broke down a million times why Ray Roc seems gassed. Only difference between Roc now and two years ago is that hes more consistent bar wise. nikkas loved DNA for the same reason nikkas loved mook, he was young and going toe to toe with grown men. Dudes love Roc cause hes easy to follow and aggressive
