Nah, I think Surf is dope. Lyrically he's not the illest but he really sells his shyt on stage like a professional actor.
He just has a box-office megastar mentality and a delusional core fanbase.

Surfs ascension to "top tier" will always be bewildering to me. He had two random ass battles in a jersey basement, came to URL and got WASHED back to back by Yung Ill and DNA of all people

It's kind of crazy to read the comments about Surf's personality (outside the battles).
I actually find Verb to be one of the corniest personalities outside of battles, where it seems people like him for his ability to bring a discussion to a screeching halt by not actually answering questions and using "charisma." That's my feel on it, anyway.
I do find him funny... sometimes. But mostly, it's cornball shyt to me.

This was a face off between Brizz and the vets. I like that they hazing this nikka. Sets a good stage for him if he comes out of this battle successful (where success = making it debatable).
