Tdot.. till the death of me
Why is Mook really considered super top tier though?

Cuz he was nice on the Smack DVDs ten years ago?

Mook battled TWICE in the last three years. One battle was complete ass, the other was good but nobody considers it a top 5 battle for the year let alone all-time. Mook is 2-0, with the two wins more so from his opponents being off than him being on

That's super top tier?

Y'all criticize Charlie for taking too many battles, but put Mook on a pedestal for basically taking no battles. Sh1t is backwards.

I actually agree with you breh. shyt is backwards but it's just how it is. I don't even like Mook like that. He might of had the worst battle in history against iron and he only beat lux by default. I still feel lux is better then Mook. In fact there's a lot if nikkas that I think are better then Mook.

His "super top tier" status is mainly do to his legendary battles 10+ years ago...and he's smart enough to see that in order to be on that pedestal you shouldn't be battling every month.

There's a bunch of top tiers that would give him that work. Hell, this may sound crazy but there may be PGS that could give Mook problems.

But Mook carries himself like that last level boss in video games and nikkas treat him that way. It's funny cuz that last level boss was never really hard to beat...it was always the nikkas in between that was giving me that REAL work :deadrose:

It doesnt make sense breh but we all know a nikka like t top would have to work his way to Mook..:manny: he may even be better then Mook bar for bar but you and I both know he'd have to go through a bunch of nikkas before he gets to Mook. ..why? Because he's super top tier.

buttons bytched up and put his mic on the ground

there aint shyt debatable about that battle

I gave Joey the first. Agreed hollow 2-1 and it's not really debatable.

It was trash though. A supposed super top tier, if there is such a thing, should bring us their best material ever against an INDUSTRY RAPPER on PAY PER VIEW

Instead we got hollow phoning it in, literally rapping about not giving a sh1t or getting paid enough, he was booed in the building, only got a 2-1 over Joey because he was less wack

If that's super top tier, battle rap is in trouble.

Hollow's hype-to-return ratio is the epitome of :beli: to me. I won't start a war about him vs. Lux, but I think ya'll nikkas know what I'm getting at.
He has great battles, no doubt... but so does Verb, Clips, a rack of middle tier dudes have a couple, some PG's too. The dude's "legendary" status name is built off of
1. Having gone to jail and calling Lux out afterward
2. Scarcity
3. ??

300 murders a year
I'm bout sick of the pedestal Lux, Mook, and especially Hollow are on in terms of expectations. I get that they are big names, but you nikkas know good and fukkin well if Mook, Lux, and Hollow battle 2-3 times a year they'd have debatables and be humanized (and lose their stock in the process).

Those dudes are super mega top hamburger tier due to them being smart enough to know that, not because they reached some level of godlike ability.
I been tired of it.

It seems the "super top tier" is only upheld by battle rap fans who have some emotional attachments to the smack DVD era in which it has been proven most of those guys did not translate well in this new Era including mook and serious. They did ok but I doubt they could battle as much as the Url guys and still be considered "top tier"

It's as dumb as some older guys trying to tell us why Oscar Robertson was better than Micheal jordan. It's ridiculous.

Mook is kinda in a space all his own though.
Lux was able to "translate" in this new era, beating Calicoe, and Hollow*(:mjpls:). So Mook beating him clearly kind of solidified his spot to most.

I think Lux won, but Hollow's performance has to be lauded as well. It was akin to having a quadruple double in basketball. He came with multiple angles, he did punchlines, he did jokes, he switched up his flow & delivery multiple times, he came with on the spot freestyles, he even had a strategically placed antic/gimmick. It's the most exhaustive battle rap performance I've ever seen, he literally touched EVERY aspect of modern battle rap. I only liked 85 percent of it, while I liked 90-95 of what Lux was spitting so I gave Lux the win. But Hollow gave us 12-15 minutes of quality battle rap, no filler. And he was actually rhyming & performing most of it, where Mook was just walking around & talking vs Solomon. So when people tell me Hollow won, I completely understand why they might think that. Nobody else has left it all on the floor like that.

and got blessed with a Lux battle

I think thats part of the problem

Lux battling somebody shouldn't be considered a "blessing"

He's a battle rapper, that's what the fukc they supposed to do. Battle.

If Lux is really this super duper top tier he should be out here battling at least once every few months defending the throne.

Lux battling only when he feels like it and then for us to consider his opponent "blessed" is bad for the culture, bad for the fans, bad for all for hungry rappers out there dying for that one shot. its like Hulk Hogan being WCW champion and never actually wrestling.

I mean, if these dudes are such a throwback to the Smack DVD era, what the fukc kinda p*ssy sh1t is it to only take battles if the paycheck high enough and the opponent is right

The fukk

Back when this sh1t was popping off you had to be hungry to battle, ready to battle the next dude showing up on ur block, and if you were the best in your hood, that was the reason you would battle MORE, not less

The fukc imagine the supposed best battle rapper u know on some I only battle who I want to sh1t

Ten years ago we'da been like :usure:. now we feed right into it and call them super top tier.

The game done changed. The best battlers get a pass to sit at home and keep their record intact. Sh1t is ironic.

My personal opinion: you can rent a big venue and have a stage but it takes more then those 2 things to get to the level of URL 'big stages' or you want to compare Gorilla warfare events to a Summer Madness?

Fact remains Qleen is more suitable for big events then 12L Danny

Edit: Just watched Danny vs JC first round again...and you can hear an echo when Danny screams Yikes :camby:
TBZ lately:lolbron:

Ya'll going to stop discrediting Mook's win over Lux. This "protect my favorite battle rapper" shyt has to stop.

Mook 3-0'd Lux with five minute rounds at a big stage PPV event. IT IS WHAT IT IS.
