Mook's whole approach to this battle was wrong..crowd was already dead and you come up with too many long & boring stories, lazy flow..he was trying to recreate the yung hot battle and he failed.
He should have went Mook version vs Serious Jones..that was mook at his best.

honestly, i watched a lot of old mook battles lately, and he was never the one to blow you out the water with bars and lyricism. he knew how to put verses together well. he does game plan well for his opponents. and it was great cause looking back he was 1 of few that would get personal while his opponent was just throwing writtens out there.
back in the day it worked
but this league is different now. and all the legends came back and realized this. back in 99 diz wouldnt have had a shot vs canibus in that format. in this format where you have to have bars, lyricism, wordplay, catch slogans, slow it downs, stage presence, crowd control, breath control, never choke (unless you a ny rapper then you are forgiven lol) and all thee above to be high on anybody list

Nah bruh i gotta disagree on that one. This was different from the yung hot battle for a few reasons, the mook that battled yung hot was the same mook that took out serius jones. That was still the mook we all know and admire battle wise, i don't know what this long drawn out bullsh!t was he was doing....both of em' put me to sleep i couldn't make it thru the 3rd

serius did his thing, rex was on his sh!t from the word go!!, and lux showed he still that n!gga......was mook doing a bunch of long drawn out boring sh!t yes, but given a different opponent that matches up with him, and he knows he has to come with some real bars, i think mook will make up for these stones y'all casting on him lol!!!....i mean think about his opponent it's iron solomon!!.....it's two different playing fields.....you can't talk that sh1t to solomon, like you would a surf or x-factor, or big t. You almost HAVE to take a different approach for the battle altogether

Even jones was calling him out on that.
In the yung hot battle he reversed it and played the Jones role..calling out yung hot for his fictional lyrics.

Just my perception of both battles.
Mook knows he can do much much better than this..the fans waited YEARS for him to come back and he disappoints us like this..its a shame.

Mook better find a way to redeem himself after this performance (which was Decent at BEST) I wouldn't go as far as to say that it Destroys his Legacy but its not a good look.

Its actually incredible when you think about it that the battle got 4,000 dislikes, nigggas was going nuts that the verb/clips had a couple hundred more dislikes than likes plus now the likes have passed the dislikes cause it was close enough. this mook solomon aint NEVER gonna be more likes than dislikes lmao

the dislikes for the verb/clips joint was more the overhype for clips, considering so many recaps was talking like he flat out bodied verb and we get the footage and get "im trying to kill duke, im north carolina" bars and him in the 3rd rapping too damn long about somebody licking they damn lips
but overall the battle wasnt really that bad, just subpar due to the hype
mook iron is getting all these dislikes cause the battle is just flat out horrible from all standpoints. at least with clips and verb it was some good entertaining points you could lean on. this battle has nothing i want to watch again.
