I listened to this earlier at work today.

Verb comes on at 7:00-29:00
Cartel Radio 2

Aye Verb was on Syndicate Cartel Radio. He proceeds to get into a very entertaining argument with the hosts. Black Ice tries to calm it down. Aye Verb see's it's not worth his time & hangs up.

This isn't AFR or the Warreport where they let Verb dictate the show.

His appearance on there was to talk about the Qleen Paper battle. Verb says qleen is inconsistent, & the host calls Verb out on that & rightfully so. The host than starts talking about preparation & if your prepared, there is no bad day. The host says there is no difference in a big or small room & they are arguing.Verb is trying to explain to this nygga that battling in front of thousands is different than battling in front of 10 people. Verb used Lux's choke against Cal as his point. The host says Lux didn't properly prepare.

Fam talking about we both human yet thinks a bigger crowd with higher stakes wouldn't affect him at all even if he remembers all of his shyt going into the battle. Then the dude he battled with cosigned him .

Math acting like he didnt Use the Hanz and Verb Bathroom situation as an angle to win a battle..
That didnt have shyt to do with Bars and battling rapping..
And we dont even know if it really happened but he played the hell out of it..

Clips is really in cruise control right now. He can half ass any battle he gets and battle rap fans will tell him he 3-0'd instead of getting 3-0'd and then he jumps into another big battle. He got loaded lux and hollow da don and he hasn't even had an above average round in either battle and is probably already in talks to half ass it against murda mook. Dude really has no incentive to actually care, he'll mention his grandma got stung by a bee, or he has(insert bigger battle rapper) next so he isn't worried about (rapper in front of him 3-0ing him) and his fans will run with it and claim the battle didn't matter.Then he'll get in front of bigger battle rapper and open up with he's serious or he didn't come play and the crowd/fans eat it up. Then he drops the same type of bars that got him 3-0'd battling the not so big battler but somehow its different because he said he was serious but somehow still doesn't have a 3rd round and then the fans still gas him. Its crazy how people always says the crowd gasses Tay Roc but no one ever says how much the crowd and fans gas Clips. Tay Roc says light shyt hard,Clips takes hard battles light and gets respected like he didn't. It's a shame that his fans care more about battle rap than Clips does.The line Charron said about Clips can lose a rock,paper,scissors game and his fans will give him the win or call it debatable has never been more real.

Charlie really hasn't take a clear loss on the big stage I can think of? Not in the last two years anyway

All his clear losses really are throwaway battles.., not saying I like or agree with his approach... But obviously he can lose to a Charron or whatever and the fans don't really care and he doesn't care

Clips just manages to do well enough in the main event battles that people will give him the W based on style preference

Watching Clips vs Lux, I thought Lux got him 2-1 but my buddy who fux with battle rap but isn't a purist like we are thought Clips won.

Clips I think reminds dudes of that kid in their high school who could spit and won battles. Not a lyrical mastermind, dude ain't Lupe or Nas but he just comes with sh1t that hits.

It's a weird phenomenon how much the fans fukk with Clips when there really isn't one area he excels at. Skillwise he is the epitome of a good average. I get it though, he's got the X factor. Dude is mad entertaining and raps to the fans and not at them. Basically the opposite of Lux

And if Lux couldn't 3-0 dude on the main stage I don't think we'll ever see it happen. Every big battle Clips takes will be "debatable" and he'll probably win the fan poll

Most non-battle rap fans or people who watch is sparingly will say Clips won because he got the bigger crowd reaction.

I get that the casual I only watch battles because people I know are making a big deal about it person is going to roll with a guy like clips using uninspired defeat and uber bars but I just wonder why hardcore battle heads and battle rappers don't call him out more for never showing up and being gassed. Battle rappers and fans are quick to say that hollow vs clips and lux vs clips didn't live up to the hype but hollow had 3 great rounds and lux had 3 great rounds. None of them ever call out the common denominator Charlie Clips for making those battles underwhelming.

I personally have had Roc & Clips in my Top 2 Most Overrated/Gassed Battle Rappers in the World since 2013........ just wanted to exclude myself from that group you mentioned

I disagree with the bolded part. Clips voice, projection and delivery are all A1 when it comes to modern battle rap. Think about it, who is better? It's him, Hitman, and then everyone else. Clips can rap for 20 minutes and you just let him, because he just sounds good doing it, is easy to follow along, and he gives you a bunch of pop culture references that keep you engaged.

Watching Clips vs Hollow & vs Lux you can hear how his voice is way more powerful. That's how Tech 9 was getting over for a minute, his voice, projection and delivery were just so ill he kept everyone engaged even though he was saying some weird shyt.

Just to hear Clips rap aggressively is exciting because he has that televangelist level of conviction. He's rambling in the beginning of his 3rd, but he's rambling so aggressively that you want to hear whatever the punchline is. Dude rhymed "going on", "flowing strong", and "going on" and it sounded hot.

Hollow's third was trash and I wouldn't say Lux had three "great" rounds at all though I have him winning 3-0.

I don't think other battlers will ever call Clips out because it's clear that he's basically friends with all of them. Charlie is the GOAT politician; it's obvious from the outside he's a bullshytter but I get the feeling that his charismatic approach pretty much keeps people who know him from ever really calling him out. We know about all of these battlers who have legitimate beef with one another or really don't like one guy and whatnot, but is there anybody who legitimately dislikes Clips?
