Let's not rewrite history. Grindtime was a much bigger platform than Word War & Street Status. Cortez was a bigger name than Hitman when they battled. After they battled is when Hitman started really blowing up. Then after he beat Ars, he was a star.

Now the SM5 storm settled whats the general consensus on the event and the battles that we saw?

I can't even say SM5 was trash.. I'm dying to say Another URL event is trash but most of the battles weve seen have replay value.. I'm keeping it 100.
Rex vs Top is my favorite battle off the card so far.

Plus we still haven't seen T vs Suge.

Redemption was better tho.

I've noticed that my TBZ checking and posting has dropped off significantly since SM5. I have like 4-5 days worth of posts unread on some of those stickies.

I rewatched Clips/Lux because I needed to assess it while the convo was hot, but probably won't watch again for a long time.

Roc vs Cal was.. entertaining? I don't know, I guess I need to watch again.

Rex vs Top was pretty good. Top is very slowly becoming what I think they want him to be. Rex did much better here, but I still don't want to see any more of him.

I saw Official/Hustle on the stream and it was infuriating. Haven't rewatched so I gotta do that.

The 2v2.. I've been trying to get through it, but I get bored enough that I voluntarily splash paint on the wall and watch it dry.

That said, I give the event a B/B-. Not memorably good, but not memorably trash.

edit: If Top/Sug is good it can push my overall grade of it up.
If JJDD vs Wavy is good then the card will be deemed classic.

Event actually ended up being pretty good.

Calicoe/Roc - gave you that classic SMACK feel, great effort from both
Lux/Clips- fukkery aside, it was actually a good, debatable (to some ) battle. Anytime Clips doesnt sleepwalk through a battle is a W these days.
Top/Rex- Best Rex I've heard in years probably (still would rather him not be on any more cards though) and Top is just really talented and consistent.
2on2- Didnt watch, dont like 2 on 2's
Official/Hustle- Kinda painful to watch honestly. You can tell O isn't use to the crowd not fukking with her. Hustle (and her writers) brought some shyt, albeit a lil gassed

Hopefully Tasha/Suge is as good as nikkas are claiming (really want to see this new improved, but extremely gassed Suge die tbh)
