Funny thing is, he's been on pgs. He did well on that. He should have stayed on Smack. Damn. I never seen someone die so badly.

Yeah, but they wanted him to battle guys closer to his level of experience, he wasn't with all that, that's part of the reason why he didn't sign.

I hate when dudes act like Prep time doesn't matter.. You can't kill a nikka for not having proper time to write. I bet you Lux would look horrible with only two weeks to work. :mjpls:

The lack of prep time hurt him. However, even with the lack of prep time, if he was that nygga you believe he is, he would have shown some glimpses of big stage potential at least in spots. He showed none of that.

He was outclassed in every way.

The only thing Gjonaj may have over Dizaster is the pen, & I'm not even convinced of that. Diz is a lazy & unmotivated guy that relies on rambling & unstructured freestyles because he's been doing this shyt for over 15 yrs. If you make his ass sit down & actually write he's not bad at all.

Also, here's the biggest thing that was exposed here. Diz SOUNDS like a rapper. Guys we clown like Diz, Dna, Clips, etc have their faults, but these guys are naturals (not surprising all these guys are lazy by the way or have been).

This kid Gjonaj spits like he purchased a "how to rap" manual written by Dizaster with a couple of chapters written by Prez Mafia.

If Gjonai had 3-4 months to prepare, do you think the battle would have been different?

absolutely, Diz would've had crowd control and presence but thats it. Gjonaj said it best "you use multis to disguise your filler" there wouldn't have been enough multis and random freestyling to save him. And Diz gets frustrated very easily by crowd reaction which would cause him to be fumbling his words.

This is an interesting question. It's hard to speculate here.

On one hand, I want to say that it lowers the odds of him choking. He would have had way more confidence & knew the material like the back of his hand. I would imagine he would have had stronger material as well.

On the other hand, he's never been on a stage like that & on his first time, he's going against the guy he emulated his style from. Those nerves are very real. Dizaster also created an environment to intimidate a guy like Gjonaj, who is really a good suburban kid who loves battle rap. I'm not saying Diz is some real nygga, but he's from LA and built relationships with those type of dudes to create an uncomfortable environment for someone like a Gjonaj, so it's still very possible he could have choked. He appeared to be very nervous the entire time.

Also, history tells us that these battles never go in a guy like Gjonaj's way. PG guys get a vet & they lose. You'll have guys chase a specific battle & when they finally get it, they lose. Whose to say his material would have been great with 3-4 months of prep time? These guys come with their worst material every time on battles they are chasing. Shyt is mindblowing.

He lacks experience. It's not like it was some huge stage, but he had way to much of a small room type of vibe going on.

The biggest thing here that I said before is he doesn't sound good matched next to Dizaster. Diz is more natural, better rap voice, more charismatic, etc. He can't do Diz better than Diz. It's that simple.

Gjonaj would have had to try to win the battle on bars alone & as I said earlier, I just don't believe Diz would allow a guy like that to beat him.

Oh, & I know this is hard to believe, but Diz is actually a good battle rapper when he wants to be.

He still would have been standing on front of Diz, doing a weird voice and making fake mean faces. The Dizaster mini-me thing just seemed really pronounced.

This was the biggest problem right here.

It would be like Aye Verb vs Polo Boy, which would be another ridiculous battle for the same reason.

In battle rap, you have those times where one guy sounds really ridiculous because the style of their opponent & this was one of them. He sounded like some cheap knock off. It would have been way to hard too overcome.

Gjonaj should just be fortunate he got his dream battle.

Everybody chases that guy in their lane that they may never get.

Every "pen" guy wants Lux.
Every puncher wants Con.
Every performer wants Hitman

He got his dream battle very fast.
