Have you ever actually been in the building when Roc performs though? I've seen him a couple of times - and that was before this past year's streak - there's a reason he never gets booed.and I no doubt see the Roc behaves in a respectful, professional manner (in terms of battlerap). His preparation is obvious, he handles himself exceptionally well in a culture of chatty nikkas, and he leaves it all on the stage.
The bars and performance just don't get me hyped up. The performance often feels forced and awkward, and the bars are generic and unclever. There are rounds here and there like his first against Brizz that make me understand how he's great for the room. But on cam (for me), it just doesn't work. It's suprising to me how little he gets boo'ed. I'm not really a fan of the crowds doing that shyt, but I absolutely feel like they've turned on "favorites" in a millisecond and boo'ed them for overperformed/bad bars, where as Roc has built some rep with the fans, where they'll give him a quiet room to get back on track.
I guess I'll never be able to give anyone a whole lot of extra points for coming with three rounds. Seems like that's part of the deal
He can be in my top 5 for work ethic and consistency.. but not for actual battling.
Haven't been in the building. I'm going to have to take the L and just go to one of these long ass URL events for the experience. I'll pack a fully charged kindle and a thermos for the tea. Give a fukk what nikkas around me think. 6 and 7 hour events require creativity.

So for everyone saying Danja has improved dramatically, have you ever gone back to watch Danja v Casheatin'? Just watch his rounds, a lot of the stuff we are seeing now, he already had in his Smack debut. The haymakers were heavy, and he was already engaging, I guess he somehow regressed from there. He IS better now as his breath control and delivery have improved slightly, but really the main difference is his image. Where would he be if he went ahead and lost the weight after his PG dropped in 2012? Would he already be top tier? How many PG's that we've seen in the last few years could have beat that performance?
LOL that's literally the only line people use when they try to say Tay Roc beat O-Red. He lost that battle.
Roc is the MVP for the fact he doesn't give the fans bullshyt, has close battles with everyone, and has zero drama around himself. That plus not whoring his image out on small leagues all counts.
DZ is the same nikka to me. He just borrowed some swag from his peers. The bars are the exact same, to me.
Chilla improved greatly but is still missing "it" for me. I'd rather watch a Suge battle than a Chilla battle 9/10 times. I just don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. And he lost damn near every battle he had in 2015 (I will not debate this, TBZ is a Chilla/Magic stan board.)

I can't take Danja serious after what Goodz did to that man.
I'm going to order it, because they went all out with the match-ups. If we the fans don't support events like this, then we have no right to complain when certain battles don't happen on Smack, or when Smack gives our favorite hard working mid-tiers the runaround. I love Smack but there has to be other platforms putting on big events in other regions. Platforms like Gorilla Warfare, RBE, Black Ice Cartel, and Barbarian Battle Grounds have done enough to show they aren't in this for a quick buck. I kinda want to buy the Detroit Power 2 battles too, but I can't get myself worked up enough to get excited about any of those battles that happened.
